Sessions killed this when he appointed that Rosenweasel subordinate from Utah to “review” the matter last week. Sessions put a brick wall again.
(I have had 30 years in government and I know how bureaucrats do this. It is how they survive.) NOTE: I am now fully retired.

Well there is narrative that says that That the OIG is investigating all of the scandals. And that John Huber was brought in to prosecute them. And that there may even be a Grand jury already in progress. The narrative says that by going this root that more can actually be done than with a special counsel which is much more limited in scope.

You’d think that the headline writer could figure out how to spell “counsel” given that the writer spelled it out for him.
Sessions will put a stop to that momentum.

I used to be disgusted with Sessions too. But there is the possibility that he is deliberately looking like a screw up in order to hide a major sting. By doing this he would keep the MSM off the scent of what could really be going on. Also the democrats don’t get a chance to attack every aspect of such a sting before all the evidence is gathered and charges filed. They might even be really surprised. Call it a good game of chess. Why bother? Huber is an acolyte of Rosenstein. Rosenstein is the one who expanded Mueller’s investigative purview. Does anyone think Sessions will appoint anyone without Rosenstein’s approval?? And anyone with Rosenstein’s approval will not find anything that Clinton doesn’t want found.
I believe that appointing a special counsel is the best way to bury evidence and run out the clock. In time, we’ll see what our president and his attorney general have been doing behind the scenes. This was their plan from the beginning.
