- A company which owns a number of TV stations penning an editorial and having a reporter at each station read the message over the air, clearly identifying the editorial as coming from the company HQ?
Or.... - A VERY large number of print & TV media organizations, each pretending to be free & independent thinkers who each arrive at their conclusions all by themselves, yet daily repeating the exact same talking points semi-verbatim in reaction to that day's major event?
And their collusion has been outed before. Remember the "Journolist" listserv discussing how they would "spin" (ie trash) Sarah Palin when she first hit the national scene in summer '08?
I believe Brent Bozell's Media Research Center does exactly what you're referring to, on occasion. Though I don't know if they do video clip montages. Those take longer to put together than text excerpts of written transcripts.
