Howard University students entered their fourth day of a protest Monday in which they occupied an administrative building and demanded campus police disarm.

"We demand the immediate disarming of campus police officers and the formation of a Police Oversight Committee controlled by students, faculty, staff, and off-campus community representatives," The Concerned Students of HU Resist wrote in a letter that has been shared over 2,500 times on Twitter.
The students want the committee to have authority over complaints filed against Howard University police officers, as well as the ability to review and advise the department's policies.

The college needs to give in to their demands.
Also close 3 dorms and lay off 10% of the faculty now in order to avoid having to do any of that in the future.
1. Expel them and arrest them for trespassing if they return.
2. Use their demands as a lesson to all other students on how to discover logic fallacies, and not to make the same mistakes.
Students are in no position to demand anything not specified in the contact between the learning institute and themselves.
BC and MIT also have armed police.

Expanding their gun free zones. Even to the point they want law enforcement disarmed. Why not give them what that want, no law enforcement, no protection, no outside law enforcement allowed on campus.
It will be interesting to see if chaos reigns and the university has to close its doors.
They can always call Black Lives Matter if there is a dangerous campus emergency.
Had there even any incidents or complaints against the Howard campus police, or are the idiot students just trying for a little per-emptive control over the cops?

Less than an hour up the road from Howard University is a perfect experiment when you reduce policing in black communities. Guess what Baltimore learned? What a bunch of frigging idiots at Howard.
This is the same Black Power salute the black panther types in the army used in fall/winter 73. Colin Powell refused to do a damn thing. The only men to stop this crap were prior Special Forces types.

I have a pal that is a retired Harvard U cop. He said his job consisted of bringing the whacked out students over to Mclean psych hospital. Harvard bought the hospital so they could hide the whacked out rich kids from the public eye.
Yes disarm them so if a school shooting happens they can be fish in a barrel. Once again flawless leftist logic rears it’s head.

Ok, let’s treat these adult-children like adults.
1) Pull the campus cops and give these snowflakes the Parkland treatment - metal detectors, clear backpacks, spot-searches, etc.
2) Have each adult student (or parent of minor students) sign a legal release that should there be a shooting at the school, they indemnify taxpayers and the school and the local and state govts from any damages a school shooting would create.
They won’t like #1 but they’ll like #2 much less.
