The second coming of Barney Fife has to reflect the deterioration of his faculties. Now he is inept and no longer has a job, just a big mouth and a wrong-headedness that is expressed in everything he says and does. Mayberry doesn’t hire zombies in the sheriff’s department, only as social workers.
