People are uncomfortable with the term “privileged.”
Several readers took offense recently when I differentiated between privileged youths and underprivileged youths in a column about the March for Our Lives.
“Categorizing and generalizing of this type are just veiled forms of discrimination and/or racism,” one man wrote.
I’d like to take this opportunity to set the record straight.
If you are a white person in America, you were born privileged. That’s just a fact.
It’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s not anybody’s fault. There’s no need to get defensive about it.
The best thing to do is just acknowledge it.
Being privileged does not necessarily mean that you have a perfect life. It does not mean that you come from wealth or that you always obtain everything you want — or deserve.
It doesn’t give you a pass to be lazy and shiftless. It doesn’t automatically guarantee you success. White skin no more relieves you of taking responsibility for your life, working hard and thinking smart than it does for people with dark skin.
It just means that you have a head start over the rest of us.
White privilege means that you were born with an inherent advantage over every other race of people. The whiteness of your skin alone allows you to leave the starting gate quicker and to run the race with fewer obstacles. White skin comes with certain other perks, too, many of which are taken for granted.
American culture itself is white-centric. For example, as an African-American woman, I can rarely find makeup that matches my exact skin tone. Though cosmetics companies have gotten a lot better at adding more diverse colors to their lines, I still most often have to buy two shades and mix them together to get a match.

As time goes by and more intermarriage occurs it gets harder and harder to divide people by race.
Which is one reason why open borders are so important to them. To keep the racial division scam going they need new groups to claim descrimination.
There are racial studies covering everything.. BUT if a study doesn’t support the liberal meme it gets buried.
That’s a tough call; on the one hand, some useless token will take credit for your work, while on the other hand, you will have 100% job security. I’ve worked for men and women, and always felt more secure with the female bosses - they couldn’t be bothered with the real details of work, so could never train a replacement. Not to slam women in general - I’ve worked with and for some great female minds. Some in management just seemed to feel companies were too cowed to fire them for sub-par performance (and a couple were right - more were wrong).

She should try googling “makeup for black women”. That will help her.
She is also ignorant. I guess it would surprise this whiner to know that my red-headed daughter has such fair skin that she is unable to find a shade of makeup that matches her skin color. She usually has to buy from companies in the UK. We tease her that she should try geisha makeup.
Yes, when are blacks going to move to the black utopia in Africa? How about Liberia? It doesn’t allow whites to be citizens. Sounds like the perfect place.
WP (often real) has genetic roots, amplified variously to powers based on class and family structure.
I started out my white privilege as the son of a cattleman in the second poorest county in my state. My day started out two hours before the school bus arrived at 7:30am, milked two cows, fed hogs and dogs, then rode the bus for an hour. When I got home, I did the same chores minus the milking, and sometimes got in a half hour of fishing in the pond before dark.
In the summer we mowed, raked, and baled hay, small bales then stacked them. When I was 13, I stacked bales, about 1000 a day, we put up 30,000 a year, in my spare time, we had about 25 quarter horses, about 15 had foals every years, so since I wasn’t very heavy, I broke them starting when I was 11 or so. On the rainy days, we fixed fence, usually in knee deep, standing water (water gaps that washed out).
Then I played various sports in my spare hours, earned a scholarship to play baseball, which lasted a year and a half when a bad arm ended that. I got a job and paid my own tuition, rent, and living expenses, finished college, had a degree and $1500 in student loans. I went into the world during the Carter years, that was special. I found a niche due to a knack for sales (for commission which means no production equals no pay) worked into various management roles, did well enough to own a Corvette at 30 (one of my dreams) had kids and a wife and bills, spent some time driving a Comp Eliminator car on weekends after putting in 70 hours a week, hunted in BC, Alaska, and Africa (more dreams I never thought would happen). I’m 60 still working, have no pension, no health insurance, what I have I worked my ass off for. I’ve really been privileged. I worked more hours before I was 13 years old than this idiot liberal has in her life!
They need an angle to keep blacks on the democrat plantations and to keep us all at each others throats.
The democrat party relies on keeping minority hate and resentment fired up and pitting us against each other.
They know that a united America is bad for them.
That's why you rarely hear them identify us or themselves as Americans.
It's always identity politics with them - whites, blacks, gays, African American, etc. - But not Americans.
Anything at all as long as they can keep us divided into separate groups based on meaningless differences.
I hope Asian and Hispanic Americans are paying close attention to this conversation.
Those two groups will catch the brunt of Black America’s timeless hatreds once whites become a feckless minority.
Neither does being “underprivileged.”
No, but in practice, being underprivileged, stupid, and irresponsible does give you a pass.
Mention of “White Privilege” makes it only fair to tally all the instances of “Black Privilege” in our society that no-one complains about:
—RAP: Black rappers get a free pass for producing hateful and misogynistic/sexist songs. Imagine if a white person said those same phrases in a song or in public speech... Whites have no such privilege.
—The N-Word: Blacks have exclusive privileged rights to this very useful term. If Whites or Asians use it, they are routinely fired from their jobs and are often the lucky recipients of death/violence threats. Again, Black Privilege.
—Welfare & Food Stamps have been a Black Privilege for 3-4 generations that few other blacks in other countries receive, especially in Africa - where they came from. Black Privilege.
—Affirmative action policies (State Sanctioned Discrimination). This has been used by government, corporations, and universities to discriminate on behalf of Blacks and against Caucasians & Asians who have far better qualifications for college admission and job applications. With some states voting to disallow affirmative action, other equivalently racist programs such as so-called “outreach efforts” favor people with black skin color. Again, Black Privilege.
—The US media provides continual “cover” for blacks who do egregious things. Blacks represent 13% of the population, yet they commit about 50% of the rapes and 50% of the violent crimes in the US. The media never mentions this harsh reality, and consistently tries to hide any mention of the race of the perpetrator of crimes in the news if the perpetrator was black. But if the perpetrator of the crime was white, the media invariably mentions his/her race. Again, Black Privilege.
—Sports bias. Blacks are vastly ‘overrepresented” by race in US football & basketball. Using traditional simple-minded analysis by leftwingnuts, this is “proof” that there is racism in sports hiring! In this case, the preference appears to be for blacks. Again, Black Privilege.
—Black History Month: For a race/culture with embarrassingly few notable inventions or contributions to society other than rap music and crime, the politically correct regime in the USA sets aside an entire month to go out of their way to showcase anything they can dredge up or fabricate to prop up the dismal list of historical black contributions to society. The fact that blacks are the only race that gets their own Black History Month, makes it painfully obvious that society has to bend over backward to make blacks appear “equal” to other cultures. Again, Black Privilege.
—Police are guilty before proven innocent by BLM - Black Lives Matter. Compliant media and Democrats, including Barack Obama consistently help prop up this injustice. Statistics show many more blacks kill police than whites kill police. And more blacks are killed by blacks. Again, Black Privilege.
Special treatment – Blacks are a privileged class that are treated “extra nicely” by other racial groups because they are so afraid of being labeled racists. Primitive behavior and lack of manners are tolerated far more for blacks than any other racial group. Again, Black Privilege.

I know a lady who lost her left arm in an accident in a lumber saw mill—the debarking machine caught her Levi jacket & she had her arm torn off.
In 2001, 101 total riders with 289 total horses rode 8 weeks on the Pony Express Trail from St Joseph, Mo to Virginia City, NV. This same woman moved rigs EVERY DAY for couple who both wished to ride the same day. She drove 2 hore-—3 horse-—4 horse—trailers, some with living quarters-—NONE of which belonged to her-—WITH ONLY HER RIGHT ARM. NOT a single lick of damage to anything.
Never heard her complain anytime in the 8 weeks.
And this woman has to complain that ‘We WHITES ARE PRIVILEGED’ because we might be able to find makeup that is a color we like???
How shallow!! How stupid!!! How insipid!!! How petty.
I suggest she make a trip to her local VA hospital & stroll down the corridors. She can try telling them how put upon she is over non-matching makeup.
Give me a break.
