An attorney for a former employee of the American Airlines Center in Dallas wants to depose Mavericks owner Mark Cuban regarding allegations of racial discrimination, including an incident involving a noose found at the arena in 2011. Michelle Newsome was fired last year after 13 years with the Arena Operating Company, which manages the American Airlines Center, and she filed a petition Thursday in Dallas County indicating she’s “seeking information regarding Cuban’s knowledge of and/or passive or active encouragement of [or conspiracy regarding] sexual harassment and race discrimination that has been occurring at AAC and adversely affecting employees,” the Dallas Morning News reports. Newsome, who filed a $13 million wrongful termination lawsuit against the arena last year, alleges the work environment she endured as a sales suite executive is “very similar” to earlier reports that prompted the NBA to investigate a woman’s allegations that Cuban sexually assaulted her in an Oregon bar in 2011. The Mavericks also hired outside counsel to probe allegations of inappropriate conduct by former team president Terdema Ussery after a Sports Illustrated report described a hostile workplace for women.

Not a big Cuban fan but this is the usual complete crap from some disgruntled failure. These people need to be punished for this nonsense.

On one level its great to see big libs get bit by their own dogs. You are right however, this shit is garbage. Honestly, tort reform would go a long way to ending this type of gold digging and intimidation. People don’t sue, lawyers do? We should go to a system of loser pays in these suits. Wealthy people are sitting ducks in civil court. Lawyers simply find the money tree and shake it. They refuse to go away until money is paid. Its always cheaper to settle these things because the court almost always awards money. The rich guy got everything to lose and nothing to gain by going to court. If the plaintiff attorney had to pay the defense”s legal fees plus their own costs it would eliminate many frivolous suits. IMO
Sounds like the NBA needs to investigate Terdema Ussery’s attitude towards people of color.
As for Mark Cuban, if he wasn’t racist, he wouldn’t have a white guy as star of the team. Come on, who has heard of whites playing NBA ball. (And, of course, Dirk must be racist. I mean, just look at his wife).
And if I remember my history correctly, more whites were lynched than blacks.

I figured that out back in the '80s when Ford first did mandatory sexual harrassment training: the first thing my fellow managers and I discussed was, best way to avoid problems was to simply not hire any females.
And we had already learned a similar lesson about blacks in the late '70s...
