Two teens have been arrested after a New Jersey man was beaten to death on the street by eight people in a seemingly random attack.
Police said the other suspects in the deadly attack on Sebastian Aguilar, 36, are still being sought after the vicious onslaught on 70th Street between Broadway and Hudson Avenue in Guttenberg on Wednesday night.
The two who have been arrested, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, have been charged with aggravated assault and endangering an injured victim, but additional charges are expected to be filed against them.
A person living in the small town said it's not the first time teens have attacked someone.
Anyone with information on the two other suspects being sought is asked to contact authorities.
The Hispanic man was 36 years old and was probably just one of the many (legal or illegal) immigrants who live in rough neighborhoods here and come and go to work.
The teens pick vulnerable looking people, and I doubt that they would dare go after a gang member.
I don’t think they understand the term “random”
I am with you on that. Despicable.
Brilliant writing! Gives the street names but not the town.
Its sad whats become of the Girl Scouts...
A “teen” mob.
Okay...
“Random”
Nobody believes that.
Apparently, it never occurs to "news" reporters in NYC that there are any other cities in the country.
Even worse! It says NJ in the headline. I guess I’m going to have to click on the article.
Guttenberg, NJ. I don’t know this place.
“...on 70th Street between Broadway and Hudson Avenue...”
“70th Street” - hardly a small town.
I’m pretty sure the man was from Guttenberg, New Jersey, but was murdered in NYC - although I have to admit I am not 100% sure...
It is in northeastern Hudson County, close to the Hudson River; the whole town is just a few blocks. According to Wikipedia, the whole town was one farm once.
It is tiny; that street name is probably from one of the other larger towns in the area. Look it up; it is tiny, and probably won’t exist as a separate town for very long.
Lol - I gotta stop with the edgy and radical comments!
I think Guttenberg invented the printing press, either that or some kind of sandwich?
Well, your comment makes more sense than the article.
...and the epiphany?
Ok. Do you know it?
