Fox News host Laura Ingraham apologized Thursday after she posted a critical tweet about a Parkland, Fla. high school student.
"Any student should be proud of a 4.2 GPA —incl. @DavidHogg111. On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland," Ingraham tweeted.
"For the record, I believe my show was the first to feature David immediately after that horrific shooting and even noted how "poised" he was given the tragedy. As always, he’s welcome to return to the show anytime for a productive discussion."
The apology comes after Ingraham faced backlash after she posted a tweet critical of Parkland student, David Hogg, who has become a vocal advocate for gun control since the mass shooting last month at his high school.
Ingraham on Wednesday shared a Daily Wire story that reported Hogg was rejected from four colleges. “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA...totally predictable given acceptance rates,)” Ingraham tweeted.
Hog replied a few hours later, asking who the Fox News host's biggest advertisers were in a tweet.
He later tweeted out a list of Ingraham's advertisers, directing people to contact those companies.
Online travel website TripAdvisor and Rachael Ray's pet food brand Nutrish have since said they would stop advertising on Ingraham's show.

I’m not going to watch any shows with those who capitulate to Hogg. I’ll stick with Hannity and Tucker.
Why does our side keep apologizing? When Joe Wilson yelled out "You lie!" about Barack Obama's bullsh*t, the rest of the party forced him to apologize. As it turned out, Joe Wilson was absolutely correct. That piece of sh*t known as Barack Obama was in fact lying at that very moment.

As for not getting into his choice of college, he should identify as a gay black. He does know that "straight" white is not high on the affirmative action ladder even for liberal swine.

I hate to say this but, in some ways, conservatives are bigger snowflakes than leftists. When the left gang up to terrorize normal Americans, conservatives fall over themselves to apologize and grovel for forgiveness. Disgusting.

And we are just sitting around letting them do just that because all conservatives worry about is being “nice” and “playing fair”. The most successful President in my lifetime seems to do quite well with a "low-class" approach to dealing with enemies. He's got Kim Jong Un now agreeing to shut down his nuclear weapons program.
I guess "fat little rocket man" name calling tactic works pretty well.
Hogg wins. He’s encouraged now and will only become more reckless in his accusations.
