Fox News host Laura Ingraham apologized Thursday after she posted a critical tweet about a Parkland, Fla. high school student.
"Any student should be proud of a 4.2 GPA —incl. @DavidHogg111. On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland," Ingraham tweeted.
"For the record, I believe my show was the first to feature David immediately after that horrific shooting and even noted how "poised" he was given the tragedy. As always, he’s welcome to return to the show anytime for a productive discussion."
The apology comes after Ingraham faced backlash after she posted a tweet critical of Parkland student, David Hogg, who has become a vocal advocate for gun control since the mass shooting last month at his high school.
Ingraham on Wednesday shared a Daily Wire story that reported Hogg was rejected from four colleges. “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA...totally predictable given acceptance rates,)” Ingraham tweeted.
Hog replied a few hours later, asking who the Fox News host's biggest advertisers were in a tweet.
He later tweeted out a list of Ingraham's advertisers, directing people to contact those companies.
Online travel website TripAdvisor and Rachael Ray's pet food brand Nutrish have since said they would stop advertising on Ingraham's show.

Hannity caved over Judge Moore. The other talk show hosts just mentioned the controversy; Hannity took a bath in it, issued ultimatums to Moore, read and reread the testimony of his accusers.
I have had to quit listening to Hannity here lately because he insists on playing the salacious parts of Stormy Daniels interview. He really likes to hear that kind of thing.
He promotes that interview more and longer than CBS.

My guess is Fox executives stepped in and made her apologize. Her show is pretty new, she does not have that much clout.
I’m disappointed she caved because I like her, but I don’t watch her show since I don’t watch Fox.
The left’s strategy of hiding behind children is paying off.
Ingraham apologizes, and Hogg will continue being an a-hole. We’ll see how well her appeasement works for her.

At our Northern VA high school a few years back, you had to go down in class rank past #100 (out of 350) to get lower than a 4.2 GPA.
Grade inflation is alive and well. The gentleman’s C of yore has become the gentleman’s A.
I always thought Laura was one of THE strongest conservatives around. I am so disappointed that a woman as accomplished as her would surrender at the first “threat” from a survivor who wasn’t even there.
