Mission Viejo joins Los Alamitos in its fight against the state as it opts out of California's sanctuary city law. Beverly White reports for the NBC4 News at 11 on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. (Published Wednesday, Mar 28, 2018)
Any bets on when the first (non lawfare) confrontation occurs between agents of the state of California and local/federal law enforcement?
been saying exactly that to my group of friends!
One testosterone laden group of “fed” guys is going to KNOCK HEADS with a group of “local” testosterone laden guys and the battle will be ON !!!
How many dead and which side wins is another bet. My guess is the “locals” will win.
I have a vacation condo in Orange CA. Old Town Orange. I’m proud of orange county. Let the racist hispanic State Attorney General, Xavier Becerra try and arrest the courageous leaders in this county.
Because in mafia terms, California needs to be “straightened out” and Trump is the guy to do it. With full military backing if need be. No problema. The CHP is no match........fool.
Xavier has a problem with his handling of the “fake” server.
18 U.S.C. §1001
I’m an exile from neighboring Lake Forest (Formerly El Toro). Finally people are woke.
It will be interesting as such a contest would pit the state against federal, county, city law enforcement.
I left Aliso Viejo to move to Washington State back in 2002. Before moving to Aliso Viejo I lived in Mission Viejo for quite a while. I will never live in California again, but I’m very proud of the two cities and the county that I called home for so long.
Californians with a brain need to overthrow their destructive government.
I wanna see Xavier in cuffs.
Agreed. Hopefully more voters here will wake up.
Good luck with that train of thought.
Most if not all law enforcement in south Orange County, including my city of Mission Viejo, is contracted to the Orange County Sheriff Dept. Older cities in the north part of the county, inclufing Anaheim, Fullerton, Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Buena Park, etc have a local police department.
This is good. They are using the same thing (opt-out) that the State used. I have no doubt that the State will come after them, but then how can they say they are not hypocrites.
I assume that is why the Mission Viejo city council passed a resolution instead of an ordinance. MV can’t do anything effectively otherwise.
