“They never stop do they.”

No, they don’t. I at least admire their persistence.

I’ve noticed long screeds about what the 2nd Amendment means, I saw Cletus’ Fair Use Doctrine argument, and I’ve seen people talk about how guns reduce crime. They are ALL good arguments...if you were in a college debate, or if we were dealing with rational people. But we’re not.

The ONLY argument that they will ever understand goes something like this:

“I have 18 guns. Congress passes a law making 7 of my guns illegal. How many guns do I have?

18. Your move.”

The very simple argument to be used is that there are somewhere between 400 and 600 million guns in this country http://weaponsman.com/?p=33875, likely owned by well over 100 million people. At least 10% are unlikely to EVER give up their guns under any circumstances (except that of their gun being considerably warmer than their rapidly cooling body). IOW, “If you try to take my guns, I will kill you.” Millions agree with that sentiment, and some not-inconsiderable percentage of them will act on it.

Molon labe, bitches!

An interesting approach, after living in suburban Chicago for a while (before working in downtown Detroit):

Let’s have a trial example to see how well banning guns works. Have the inner-city gang-bangers give up their guns first.
