I still remember the America of late 1950’s & Early 1960’s.

We had foreign trade SURPLUSES then. I can’t recall anyone lacking housing and food was ridiculously cheap and abundant. No way I could carry $20 worth of groceries in 2 arms. Clothes were better quality and cheap. Only items really expensive were electronic calculators, I paid $250 for a hand held job, and it had square root capability..and I needed it for engineering work, and now it costs $1 in a dollar store.

I wish I could have had a hand held calculator in the late 50’s/early 60’s. :)
