Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky is calling for a cultural revolution in how people consume online news so that more shame" no longer means more clicks and more advertising income.
Lewinsky told hundreds of privacy professionals Tuesday we need to communicate online with compassion, consume news with compassion, and click with compassion."
"Just imagine walking a mile in someone elses headline," she said in a Washington speech that was contractually closed to the press.

She sucks.
If I were her I’d maintain a low profile and keep my mouth shut.
How can someone reach their forties and not work for a living?? She’s pathetic.
.
Monica got it right.
She sees the fakeness of the “news”
.
She should've kept her mouth shut the last time she had a low profile (rim shot!)
True.
Aw shaddup.
“If I were her Id maintain a low profile and keep my mouth shut.”
IIRC, way back when, she DID maintain a “low profile”; however, she didn’t keep her mouth shut.
Maybe nobody will hire her.
That’s an excellent point. But she needs to shut up.
That depends on what the meaning of is, is.
Barbara Walters' interview with Lewinsky in advance of the former White House intern's new book drew more than 48 million viewers ...
A friend was accused of sexual abuse by his niece because he wouldn't let her use his car. Naturally, the local press picked up the story from the police reports and had a field day blowing that story out of proportion but NEVER mention why the niece accused him. After over four years and numerous trials, denials (by the niece about her lying), he was finally found "NOT GUILTY". Within those four awful years, my friend lost his job, his home, his right to attend school functions (had daughters in sports) where other teens might be. Who if anyone, is going to help him get back what HE LOST? I am happy to say, he is making a comeback but had to relocate to a town many miles away where others don't know him. The media NEVER posted anything about the verdict or the outcome of the three day trial. (Typical media bastards). Never the less, the "history" is out there and the "not guilty" will never go away.
They can't, ask Stormy Daniels. They need to keep in front of the media to hope they get noticed by a political hack that will pay them to take down the opposing candidate.
You would think that this girl would’ve learned to keep her mouth shut by now.
I think you’re right. What a pathetic way to live. Monica has always been a drama queen.
Actually she does do a little of this and a little of that.
Spokesperson for Jenny Craig, a book, and teevee appearances.
What’s most impressive is she actually survived being that close to a Clinton.
