A California sheriffs office announced Monday that it will provide public information on when inmates are released from jail -- a move coming amid a growing backlash against the liberal states sanctuary laws that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
The Orange County Register reported that the countys sheriffs department will publish a Whos in Jail online database, including the date and time of inmates release, to help cooperate with other law enforcement agencies including Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE.)
Undersheriff Don Barnes cited Californias sanctuary legislation, which limits the instances when state and local police agencies can inform federal authorities about an illegal immigrants release from detention, specifically as a reason for the move.

Impound the real estate taxes and sales taxes at the county level.
Starve the beast in Sacramento.
I read the article as saying that Americans have rights as well.
State illegal immigrant pimps will file some kind of legal action in 3 2 1 seconds.
Good for them.
It’s about time some localities in California stood up to the illegal tyranny imposed on them by their state government.

If CA doesn’t have to obey federal laws, why do CA counties and cities have to obey state laws?
Real estate taxes are paid to the county, and stay in the county. Nothing goes to the state from them, unless CA is different from anywhere else I've lived.
Sales taxes are collected by the seller and remitted directly to the state via Sales Tax returns. The county is not involved in any way. Unless there are county/local taxes collected. Then those should be paid directly to the county/municipality.
Now the sheriff needs to add a way to sign up for email notifications based on names of prisoners. Certainly the people who elected the sheriff have a right to this information.
“Right this way Señor Gonzalez. Don’t forget your court date next week. Oh...and I think your ride is waiting outside.”
Some of the victims or their grieving relatives and / or friends might also be interested. ...just saying.
Why are the Special Districts “broke?”
The state grabbed their reserves.
The state and sanctuary cities have filed lawsuits to prevent the feds from withholding federal grant funds based on their sanctuary status.
Watch how fast the state takes the same withholding actions against the non-compliant counties and cities.
