Attorneys for Noor Salman are calling for a dismissal of charges or a mistrial after they say new details from prosecutors reveal that Pulse gunman Omar Mateen’s father was an FBI informant who is currently under a criminal investigation.
According to a motion filed by the defense, Assistant US Attorney Sara Sweeney sent an email on Saturday to the defense — in the middle of the Salman’s trial — that stated Seddique Mateen was a confidential FBI source from 2005 through June 2016.
The email also stated that Seddique Mateen is being investigated for money transfers to Turkey and Pakistan after documents were found in his home on the day of the Pulse attack.
The revelation threatens to upend the case against Salman, the wife of Omar Mateen who is on trial for charges related to the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida in June 2016

I keep thinking back to the Obama era BATF's Operation Gunwalker aka Fast and Furious that promoted illegal gun sales to the Mexican drug cartels. This was ostensibly to set up the cartels for total destruction.
But it is pretty clear the true purpose was to promote gun atrocities which could be traced to insufficient gun control in the US. The plan was to turn public opinion against RKBA in furtherance of the globalist goal of UK/Canada/Australia style total gun confiscation.

That theory has crossed my mind, too. Quite possibly the lure of political opportunity in an election year outweighed the duty to stop that perp from shooting up that high school. The FBI and Broward law enforcement people damned well know what a threat Cruz was; what we’ll never get to know is why they didn’t act on that threat.
