As students across the country prepare to stage a national protest calling for gun control reform in the wake of school shootings, Parkland, Florida survivor David Hogg, 17, has declared this is the 'start of a revolution.'
Hogg talked to Good Morning America on Saturday morning about his goals for participating in the 'March For Our Lives' demonstration at its primary event in Washington, DC.
'Today we are going to start a revolution. This is the beginning of a lifelong marathon not only for me but for my generation,' Hogg told GMA.
'We are sick and tired of the inaction here in Washington and around the country at different state capitals and in different cities, of politicians that are owned by the NRA and not listening to the constituents of America.'
On Friday, Hogg used more forceful language, expressing his fatigue from advocacy, worries over relinquishing rights in favor of safety, and calling out what he referred to as 'old-a** parents' who 'don't know how to use a f***ing democracy.'
The student also criticized forthcoming security changes at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which he felt were infringements on First Amendment rights.

Had similar thoughts as you. What makes this snot-nosed know-it-all a "survivor"? Was he wounded, but lived? Was he shot at by Cruz, but the shot missed? Was he in the building where Cruz was when the shooting occurred? Or did he wet his pants and run away when he heard the reports or got a tweet on the other side of the campus?
I hate the way the liberal media gives sympathetic labels to those in their favor. ("survivor", "dreamer", etc.)

Along the lines of little “Anthony” from a long ago Twilight Zone episode, his parents may well be in some fear of this boy. Going back about 18 years ago, one parent should have had a headache instead of producing one.
Adults supporting this boy and his comrades are cautioned: what happens if one day they decide you’re also part of the of the “problem” and in need of “re-education”.

Little Hoggie was hiding in a closet in a different building altogether.
It’s like saying someone who was ten blocks away from the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001, is a survivor of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
Remind them that our forefathers and their goodwives never dreamed that people would stuff all and sundry into such fancy backpacks. No a simple rucksack with maybe a pouch for vittles is what they had in mind when they authored tote rights into our Constitution.
