Clock Runs Out On Perjury Charges For James Clapper, Ensuring He Won't Be Punished For Lying To Congress

It almost seems like half a lifetime ago, but only a half-decade has passed since James Clapper lied to Ron Wyden about the NSA's domestic collections. Wyden pointedly asked Clapper during an intelligence committee hearing whether or not the NSA was collecting "any type of data at all" on American citizens. Clapper gave two answers, both untrue: "No, sir" and "Not wittingly."

A couple of months later, the first Snowden leak -- detailing massive amounts of call data being captured in the Section 215 dragnet -- undid Clapper's careful, under-oath lies. Since then, nothing has happened. The DOJ refused to investigate Clapper for lying to his oversight. Clapper exited office a few years later, becoming a go-to national security expert for a variety of news programs. He has since offered a variety of excuses for lying, but none of them are particularly good.

As of March 12, the clock has run on perjury charges. James Clapper has violated federal law and gotten away with it.

I’ve never seen someone on “our side” push so hard for non action/protests. More months go by, no ones been locked up.

Somebody tell me again how letting Clapper skate is really just one of the many necessary details of The Sleepy Sessions Master Plan.

There is the possibility that perjury was not punished because a public trial on that crime would reveal investigation on more serious charges.

Or make public information that would give information to other targets.

Much better to wait and see before condemning everyone in sight for not going after him on this.

I thought the statute of limitations was seven years for most crimes.

I don’t know Sessions plan, but the clock has not started to toll on the conspiracy to get Trump out of office because the conspiracy is still running.

I see — CIA Director Clapper is just a small fish who will lead us to the real heavyweights.

.
It should not have come and gone.

He could have been incarcerated and silenced while other charges were prepared. Now he continues his evil unabated.

‘The whole Q thing teaches complacency. Just sit back and don’t do anything, trust Sessions, trust the plan. Everything is under control.’

This is SO true. Q’s job is to distract patriots with a false sense of security and idiotic busywork until the coup is complete.

No, you got that wrong too.

Perjury is a small crime of little significance compared to the serious threats to our country.

An for all of you “hang ‘em high now” crusaders....how many of you knew 30 days ago when you were pillorying Sessions that he had a grand jury impaneled that was investigating everything from Hillary’s emails to the FICA Court warrants?

And for all we know, that might not be the only grand jury.

So wait and see.

Please refresh my memory. Why was Scooter Libby sent to prison? What crime is Lt General Flynn defending agsinst, that forced him to sell his house to pay his legal bills (to date; no doubt a mountain of additional invoices still to come).

Session is making sure that the time will run out on all this criminal activity. Trump must get rid of this jackass. The Second Counsel should have been started many months ago based on the crimes that are so visible.

Easy answer.

That is all they had on either of them.

In addition, Flynn was harassed into near bankruptcy simply because he was Trump’s employee.

But more important, both were convicted by prosecutors who themselves were criminal.

Criminal in that they used the law in an attempt to ruin men they did not like for purely political reasons.

As in Nyfong.

Sessions will follow the law regardless of what “Hang ‘em high” lynch mobs have to say.

Flynn will be completely exonerated in the end.

Clock has not run out on treason. Nor will a technicality protect the traitor from justice if and when the current coup goes hot.

Clock has not run out on treason.

As long as Sessions is recused and Rosenstein is in charge, I doubt we will see Clapper charged with treason.

As I pointed out early, the current DOJ wouldn't even consider a simple, open and shut case of perjury against Clapper.

So if Clapper had been charged with the open and shut case of perjury, that would have indemnified him against all other charges?

So after Flynn is ruined, he’ll be cleared.

What’s wrong with this picture???
