Maybe I wasn't cute enough.Maybe I didn't pay close enough attention.
Or maybe the Army,in the interests of good order, discipline and mission readiness, made sure that pervs weren't given a uniform.
Quite the shock.
They’re expecting the military to pay for their sex change, follow-up treatment, and medications.
When I joined Naval Air in 1968, they made me get two teeth cavities filled before I could sign up.

In my time in the Army which includes being a combat veteran in the Korean conflict, I never saw any homosexual or anyone of these various sexual disorders. Even in over crowded barracks, gang showers and many days in the field was there even a suggestion. So, ditto to your post.
“When I was going off to basic training in ‘69 friends would warn me....’don’t drop the soap’..Well,during my stellar (cough...cough) Army career I never experienced, witnessed or even heard of any kind of perversion.
Well BOOT back in ‘65, when standing in line for anything common directive was “close it up, make the man in front of you SMILE!” Like you, never witnessed nor experienced any perversion. Perhaps the social atmosphere just wasn’t conducive to greet & meat.
Go to MEPS today and you will see all sorts joining the Army, Navy. Bunch of sissy pansy boys and butch dyke females
Marines, Coast guard, and Marines seem to not have as many thankfully
Right! During the draft for WWII, homosexuality was cause for rejection. Some cowards even claimed to be gay to avoid being drafted! There was a guy on my street who did this! While our neighborhood boys were over there, fighting and dying, this yellow bum got married and had three kids. Thefamily was despised ever after.
