Breitbart ^ | 23 Mar 2018 | SEAN MORAN

Posted on 03/23/2018 4:46:56 PM PDT by conservative98

Schumer said, “It’s a funny thing. In a certain sense, we’re able to accomplish more in the minority than we were when we had the presidency or even were in the majority.”

The Senate Minority Leader continued, “At the end of the day, as the minority party, we feel good about being able to succeed in so many ways. We don’t have the House, we don’t have the Senate, we don’t have the presidency, but we produced a darn good bill for the priorities we have believed in.”

Sen. Schumer also touted the inclusion of the Gateway bridge project in the omnibus, as well as increased funding for the National Institute of Health (NIH).

House Freedom Caucus chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC) lamented in an interview with Breitbart News Daily on Tuesday that the “Senate Democrats seem to be calling most of the shots.”

This should make the dreamers and other illegals very unhappy. Yes Chucky got what he wanted but left his illegal buddies in the shadows.

There's gotta be an ulterior motive to why Trump signed this. Everything with Trump is tactical.

The only practical solution to this ongoing nightmare is to completely decentralize the federal government by requiring all Congressional office-holders to serve out their terms in office in their electoral districts where we can keep an eye on them. Given today’s technologies, there’s no reason whatsoever for them to congregate in Washington DC, other than to hide from the prying eyes and scrutiny of those who elected them to office and enrich themselves through thinly-veiled systems of fraternal immunity, while driving our country ever-deeper into debt.

Washington DC is nothing more than a viper’s nest that’s infested with liberal lawyers, liberal career bureaucrats and cash-wielding K-Street lobbyists and J-Street bankers who are actually running our government, while our elected officials are completely at their mercy once they cross the Potomac. For these legions of parasitic opportunists, physically centralizing our government is like shooting fish in a barrel. If our elected representatives were dispersed throughout America, their influence and control would be severely crippled.

Once Congress is returned to the people, do the same with all federal agencies by relocating them throughout the country, thereby breaking up the bureaucratic monopoly and stranglehold on our governance that they now enjoy in Washington DC. Such a divestment would also provide governmental job opportunities in the states and local communities that are currently prohibited by the centralized geographic arrangement. This move would almost completely destroy the “deep state” as we know it.

Finally,as a matter of national security, and in view of threats of terrorism in an age of portable thermonuclear devices, decentralizing the federal government would afford a layer of governmental protection that doesn’t exist today. Rather than being able to take out our government with a single attack on Washingron DC, our enemies would be forced to target 535 separate locations throughout America to achieve the same result, thus making it virtually impossible to destroy our current form of government and its internal operations.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that our federal elected officials would behave and feel very differently about governance according to the will of the people, if every day they were exposed to and confronted by their local constituents bearing pitchforks and torches, rather than being safely ensconced in their distant protective and apparently soundproof cocoon of Washington DC. Perhaps then, they’d stop acting like a bunch of self-entitled drunken frat boys doing cannonballs in the citizen’s pool of the public treasury.

Didn’t they, the Uniparty, have a majority that could override a veto, anyway?

That would have meant Trump taking a stand against the swamp. He avoided that by signing.
