I’m reading a lot of things lately written by self-diagnosed psycho / sociopaths.
It almost seems to be a badge of honor.

I think that's really it. Everyone wants to be special. I am reminded of the Olympics in which being a good skier or skater is, you know, sort of good -- but if you're a homosexual or from a troubled family, or grew up in the projects -- that's gold, Baby!
If you're a black Muslim lesbian, that's pretty awesome. If you're just a normal person, then you're boring. At the very least you can tell people you're pretty much a sociopath. That gets you some kind of cred. And it's pretty much a game anyone can play.

Yes. It just may be all this "my feelings" and "I'm special" BS that all these young people are hearing and being taught. They are so self-absorbed it's sickening.

As an aside:
I ran into the movie "Citizen Cane" again on TCM early this morning, and I heard a funny quote I had heard therein before:
"OLD AGE -- the only disease for which you are not looking for a cure."
