I’ve been told be people here on FR that almost all schizophrenics are non-violent, and I believe that to be the case.
As a general rule their paranoia does not lead to violence. I suppose occasionally it could. It would probably appear to a rational person this would be completely unpredictable. As I recall from my limited experience on locked wards in Med School they are generally a bigger threat to themselves.
“All schizophrenics are not violent” are you kidding. Assuming you are referring to the people who hear voices, are often also depressed and bipolar as well. These people lash out all the time. They are often on meds that don’t work. And they tend to thrash around when they can’t find peace and comfort either by a manic episode that is crashing down or audible static that turns into voices that they cannot escape. Often they can’t put together a school shooting plan. But they can shoot up a room before they just sit down or blow their own brains out. But normally they just thrash around in a room by themselves.
I worked in a big city ER for years and have probably encountered more schizophrenics than you've had hot meals. If a schizophrenic feels threatened (which is all-too-often the case) they are capable of lashing out...of becoming violent/aggressive.But in my experience it's unusual for them to *initiate* violence.
Schizophrenia is a form of demonic possession.
