And no, trolls, the answer is not to stay home and refuse to vote in the midterm elections. Write to your Senators. Tell them to stop the bill and fix it. Join a Second Amendment organization now.

With Republicans like this, conservatives don’t need enemies.

When they voted to fully fund the Democrat agenda lock, stock and barrel, what do we need a GOP House majority for?

To give us the Mother Of All Pork Barrel bills? Thanks but no thanks.

All you party faithful out there who've been telling me how cynical I am, and how I need to lighten up and have faith, please tell me again how my cynicism is unjustified.

Even the a$$holes who're supposed to be on our side, aren't on our side.

This is the uniparty play...Trump said congress should do it's job. They did. They sent the bill that the uniparty always wanted. And they're daring Trump to veto it so they can blame Trump for obstructing the bi-partisian bill.

I don't know how Trump avoids this.

Re: Just before President Obama left office, his administration finalized new regulations banning Social Security recipients from buying a gun if they have trouble managing their finances.

Sorry, that sounds bogus.

What national criteria would be used to judge someone’s financial competence?

Are all seniors required to get yearly financial competence exams? Do we have financial mental health experts?

I do recall that Obama enacted regulations that would forbid some people on Social Security Disability from owning a gun.

Is that what this refers to?

There are three kinds of gun laws:

- Some, such as the ban on lawsuits against firearms manufacturers over guns that operated correctly but were used by criminals, are good laws that protect our rights.

- Some, such as restrictions on bump stocks, or on threaded barrels and bayonet lugs, or the gun-of-the-month rules, are symbolic and meant to stigmatize self-defense to shift more power to the government over the course of many years, but do not cross a red line.

- Some, such as broader limits on the functionality for handguns or rifles, cross a red line.

Until a red line is crossed, the answer is to always vote, and in particular to be active in primaries and to vote in primary elections. Once those red lines are crossed, the answer may get extremely ugly. Governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed - and that consent can be withdrawn. We have no moral obligation to obey unconstitutional laws: that decision comes down to a balance between fear of government prosecuting us for ‘crimes’, and fear of government or its enabling thugs allied oppressing us and our children because we failed to commit those ‘crimes’.

Love these monthly chuck n Nancy deals.. we are really winning with these. Let me guess, no wall funding
But maybe if we give up everything and lay down we can keep due process. Can we, huh?
That was the most hostile phrase against constitutional freedom I can recall from a sitting prez of America. I will never forget.

Surprised they aren’t bragging that they’re just bringing SSA on par with the V.A. I believe vets already are on the NICS deny list if they meet that criteria.
