Congressional Republicans are jeopardizing the Second Amendment rights of 4.2 million senior citizens. At the same time, they have voted to funnel tens of millions of dollars to gun control organizations and support other actions that Democrats will love. All of this is wrapped up in the giant $1.3 trillion spending bill that the House of Representatives approved Thursday on a 256-167 vote and sent to the Senate.

Do you suggest voting for those that passed this POS or for a democrat?
Where is Rand Paul when we need him? He’d do the country a favor if he blocks the Senate taking action on this steaming turd!
At least I’m not one of the trolls here calling for clearing the way for their Democrats to pass every gun control bill.
...the same trolls here trying to get more Democrats into Congress to impeach President Trump.
Paul did speak loudly against the bill, but he didn’t get the support that he needed from others. Too many government employees with too much influence here from big government spending. That’s why the bill passed so quickly.
There are three kinds of gun laws:
- Some, such as the ban on lawsuits against firearms manufacturers over guns that operated correctly but were used by criminals, are good laws that protect our rights.
- Some, such as restrictions on bump stocks, or on threaded barrels and bayonet lugs, or the gun-of-the-month rules, are symbolic and meant to stigmatize self-defense to shift more power to the government over the course of many years, but do not cross a red line.
- Some, such as broader limits on the functionality for handguns or rifles, cross a red line.
Until a red line is crossed, the answer is to always vote, and in particular to be active in primaries and to vote in primary elections. Once those red lines are crossed, the answer may get extremely ugly. Governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed - and that consent can be withdrawn. We have no moral obligation to obey unconstitutional laws: that decision comes down to a balance between fear of government prosecuting us for ‘crimes’, and fear of government or its enabling thugs allied oppressing us and our children because we failed to commit those ‘crimes’.
THAT’S ANOTHER PART OF THAT BILL THAT’S GETTING IGNORED TRUMP MIST FACE A BARRAGE URGING HIM TO VETO
Where’s the commercial OR VIDEO showing a toddler happily playing suddenly being demanded to pay its thousands of dollars share of the national debt ? When the toddler breaks into screaming HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO ME tears ?

That’s a tough one. Both houses of Congress voted extremely close to enough for an override, and there’s the impeachment threat with midterm elections near. It’s a very bad situation. The President needs to get all the support he can get from those congressional gangs of pork mongers.
Love these monthly chuck n Nancy deals.. we are really winning with these. Let me guess, no wall funding
But maybe if we give up everything and lay down we can keep due process. Can we, huh?
That was the most hostile phrase against constitutional freedom I can recall from a sitting prez of America. I will never forget.
FR changed dramatically during the primaries and became infected with people who are ok giving up guns, never building a wall, spending a Trillion dollars on shovel ready jobs... and they call us the trolls. Suddenly folks were joining FR in numbers not seen since I have been here.
Their tactics are straight out of Alinsky... they are plants. I left FR for a while because it was invaded. It still is, but i trust FR for news and I haven’t found a replacement yet.
I think they will go away if we stop laying down and taking it. Truth always wins.
It passed 65-33.
The people in Congress know they'll be long gone when it happens. They must have an airtight plan for their grandkids, too, because those are the kids you're talking about.
Or maybe they think it's hopeless anyway.
What a mess.
” The examples in the news before were PTSD cases involving old veterans. “
This is also one of my concerns. After reading the article, it appears agencies have power equal to or greater than a court order classifying someone as too mentally incompetent to own a gun. I have read similar horror stories as the very people laying their lives on the line (vets) for their country having their guns taken away. What gratitude!!
I personally know a vet with PTSD that does not want it made formal by applying for VA benefits. Whatever amount he will lose in compensation is what he’s paying to keep his 2A rights. Talk about someone that feels totally screwed by the same country he defended.
And as this country is screwing vets like this left and right, more and more young men and women are sent off to new wars to be set up for the same screw job.
“I don’t know how Trump avoids this.”
I hope he doesn’t care. He’s already shown everyone at this level that he’s not afraid of them, and that he can dominate them at every level.
They need to be reminded that Trump is the guy that lobbed missiles into syria without their approval.
Trump really is a mastermind against this new “deep state” initiative to usher in Communism at every level. But he’s also an anti-gun New Yorker. We need to understand that balance.
Does there ever come a point at which not supporting those that stab you in the back becomes operative?
The Second Amendment rights are the rights of ALL AMERICANS, not just 4 million!
Hopefully Trump doesn’t sign this.
