In early March, Sessions admitted to the press that he has appointed a person outside of Washington , many years in the DOJ to act as special investigator (with prosecutorial powers) to coordinate with IG Horowitz.
This could refer to documents related to a grand jury empaneled by Mueller since many of the same people were involved in matters Mueller is nosing around and matters related to the House committee’s document request.
Maybe we’ll know for sure soon.
Yeah baby!
P
A friggin Amish grand jury in DC.they don’t know what to bitch about first.
Boilerplate excuses. There is NO grand jury sitting for deep state, gun, or or doj abuses.
They have until November, then the DEMs take over Congress, and you can forget justice.
It's truly disheartening to see how few Democrats are willing to be honest about what has happened here. Criminality of this magnitude simply cannot be ignored. Members of the Democrat party with any shred of integrity at all should be responding similarly to the way the Republican Party did once President Nixon's complicity in Watergate became obvious. The Watergate Scandal pales into insignificance when contrasted with this attempted coup.
Additionally, most Establishment Republicans are similarly ignoring the obvious and breathtakingly pervasive criminality which has taken place—if not actively participating in it themselves. In aggregate, these events represent a profound betrayal of our entire Constitutional system, with its various checks and balances. The situation literally screams for the need to fully drain the Uniparty Swamp—if not formal revolution as delineated in the Declaration of Independence.
It remains extremely frustrating to note that—thus far—virtually nobody has been held responsible, either professionally or criminally. There's simply no denying that dozens of people should go to jail for these crimes—including specifically people such as Hillary Clinton, Loretta Lynch, James Comey, and quite probably former President Obama (to name only a few).
For the time being, we must all have faith that all those involved in these criminal acts will ultimately be held responsible. For starters, these crooks have egregiously violated their respective oaths of office, and have engaged in what is essentially a coup attempt—which basically amounts to treason—among numerous other crimes—. Indeed, if these people aren't brought to Justice, then there is no Justice—and that abject failure will either result in civil war, or else the formal dissolution of the Republic, with all of its Tyrannical consequences.
America has finally arrived at a crossroads whereby the People are faced with two worldviews which are fundamentally incompatible and mutually exclusive—a state of affairs which cannot remain stable for any length of time. Anyone who doesn't understand this fact is either not paying attention, or in a profound state of denial.
My own gauge of what will happen is based on two considerations: 1) whether the GOP—which is both cowardly and almost as corrupt as the Democrats—keeps the People's House in the 2018 midterms, and 2) whether any formal indictments and prosecutions related to the coup are initiated before those elections. The outcome of those two events will go a very long way towards determining what the ultimate fate of the Trump administration—and the Republic in general—will be for at least the next few generations.
As my tagline says—and I believe it becomes more true every day:
"If the President doesn't drain the Swamp, the Swamp will drain the President."And as goes the Trump administration, so too will likely go the fate of the tens of millions of Deplorables who have placed their hopes and faith in it.
Donald J. Trump is far from a perfect vessel, but he has—in my opinion—been chosen by God for this purpose. And at this moment in time, I can't conceive of any other American who could have a better chance of 1) Draining the Uniparty Swamp, and 2) Making America Great Again. At this point, it seems very clear that the latter will never happen until the former is first accomplished.
But I digress. Anyway, kudos to the Conservative Treehouse on the critical service they are providing...
Oh, whats that? Yes, the DOJ has to review the demand for evidence because release of those documents might conflict with ongoing Grand Jury information (evidence). Yes, that means a Grand Jury is impaneled, exactly as we expected.

Giddy up?
CTH, that ‘trust sessions’ horse you’ve been flogging has been dead for over a year now. Give it up already...
We’d have to know first whether or not this is just standard language the DOJ uses in such letters, i.e., it may be boilerplate caveats and not something crafted for this specific case. I don’t know but I would not be surprised if these are simply standard phrases.
SHOW ME THE INDICTMENTS!
I am somewhat conflicted. On the one hand it is good to hear about what’s going on in the backfield, but to the extent it can be keep under cover, it will be less subject to sabotage by the enemy. That is why criticizing Sessions for not doing anything creates a marvelous foil for Sessions’ undercover prosecutor(s). What I like so much about current events is that Joe diGenova and his wife are now inside the tent and they will be lending their considerable skills and insight to the mix.
If it’s a Washington, DC grand jury.... the dems walk.
One huge problem here.......from where does the Grand Jury panel come from?
DC and it’s equally communist suburbs.
So what are the odds of commies wanting to indict their fellow commies?
HUH?????????
I may still break into my happy dance.
