Representatives Thomas Massie (R-KY), Scott Perry (R-PA), and Jim Jordan (R-OH) testified before the House Rules Committee on the Fix NICS portion of the Omnibus Spending Bill. Massie and Perry provide powerful statements on the “false positives” in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) system. Here is an example of how Crime Prevention Research Center research makes a difference. Unfortunately, the House still passed this legislation as part of the Omnibus-spending bill.
