A former Playboy model who claimed she had an affair with Donald J. Trump sued on Tuesday to be released from a 2016 legal agreement requiring her silence, becoming the second woman this month to challenge Trump allies efforts during the presidential campaign to bury stories about extramarital relationships.
The model, Karen McDougal, is suing the company that owns The National Enquirer, American Media Inc., which paid her $150,000 and whose chief executive is a friend of President Trumps. The other woman, the adult entertainment star Stephanie Clifford, better known as Stormy Daniels, was paid $130,000 to stay quiet by the presidents personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen. She filed suit earlier this month.
Both women, who argue that their contracts are invalid, are trying to get around clauses requiring them to resolve disputes in secretive arbitration proceedings rather than in open court. Mr. Trump has denied the affairs.
Ms. McDougal, in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that Mr. Cohen was secretly involved in her talks with A.M.I., and that the media company and her lawyer at the time misled her about the deal. She also asserts that after she spoke with The New Yorker last month after it obtained notes she kept on Mr. Trump, A.M.I. warned that any further disclosures would breach Karens contract and cause considerable monetary damages.
In an email to The New York Times, her new lawyer, Peter K. Stris, accused A.M.I. of a multifaceted effort to silence Karen McDougal.

Guess there’s more money in it that way.
What’s there to know? Just stick it in the hole and wiggle it.
She looks nuts
Once you cash the check, you can’t just give it back and resell to the highest bidder. Or, at least that’s the way it should be. Maybe its different when a leftist judge decides the “public interest” is at stake.
Moral: When dealing with a prostitute, settle on the price BEFOREHAND.
Sounds like an episode of Suits.
Sorry, honey, you cashed the check. Doesn’t matter how much Soros money you get now to try to undo that. Nothing but respect for Trump if he really did nail her during her Playboy days. Sad that she’s trying to stay relevant this way now that her looks are starting to go.
I have nuts for her.
so now every man old enough to remember what she looked like back then is now saluting in admiration
these guys are terrible at doing hit jobs, absolutely terrible
What is the whole point, was there a rape or sexual assault committed, if not who cares.
What’s the beef? Trump was a rich successful playboy, that’s no secret. Besides, she is hot!
She's a porno-whore. She IS nuts.
Let’s give POTUS credit for taste.
By the way, this is behind a NYT paywall. I’m surprised—you’d think they’d make exceptions for anti-Trump propaganda!
Never, ever trust a whore’s promise.
If I had to guess, Id say she sold it to people who later figured out it was a bunch of lies. So they decided not to publish, because they didnt want to be sued.
They bought a worthless pack of lies.
She cashed the check.
Game over.
She looks nuts
Did you mean ‘likes’?
RE: Moral: When dealing with a prostitute, settle on the price BEFOREHAND.
NOPE, the moral still is — DO NOT VIOLATE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.
Not guilty!
