What I’d like to know is if he’s still getting a paycheck from the city. The moment he refused to be interviewed about the murder by department officials, he should have been suspended without pay, but I have never been able to find out if they have continued to pay him. And I’m not sure what their rules are about suspending pay once an officer has been arrested.
