More than three-quarters of people who answered a poll on the conservative Drudge Report site said that President Trump should fire special counsel Robert Mueller.
Mueller is currently investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Moscow.
The online poll, which was posted on the site on Saturday, had surveyed fewer than 500,000 people on Sunday.
The poll comes after Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe over the findings of an internal review that said he provided unauthorized information to the press and was not forthcoming with investigators during the investigation. McCabe said he was fired as an attempt to undermine Mueller's investigation.
Trump’s personal lawyer said on Saturday that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein should end Mueller’s investigation. He later walked back his statement, saying he was speaking for himself, not on behalf of the president.
Democrats have called for legislation to protect Mueller and some GOP senators have also warned the president not to interfere with the investigation.
Trump reportedly tried to fire Mueller last year but took back his order when the White House counsel threatened to quit if he carried it out.
On Saturday, he tweeted that the Mueller investigation "should never have been started" and called it a "witch hunt."

While I too agree that Mueller needs his choke collar yanked, it’s also obvious that Drudge readers are not a random population sample.
Let me guess ,if you visit Drudge 1000 times a day you can vote each time ?
How many in the DoJ and Congress want Mueller to fire Trump?
Trump and his attorney would be well served to encourage Mueller to finish up, drop the “collusion pretense”, and report on the intended goal - to find out what Russia did, if anything, to influence the 2016 election - including the Hillary-Wee-Wee-Dossier, Fusion-GPS routing money through the DNC and Coie to the Kremlin for Steele to gather bad talking points, etc.
There is a lot to discover but Meuller won’t find it.

The Drudge poll now totals over 666,000.

Funny they never use LIBERAL when describing other news outlets.
And the truth is Drudge was turned about a year ago. It is not a conservative news outlet.
I strongly suspect most of those votes came from Democrats, Progressives, anarchists, and NeverTrumpers, all wanting President Trump to do the one thing that would get him impeached.
Good. This sends a signal to every single Swamp Monster that if they try and impeach Trump we are not going down without a fight.

Mueller should be dismissed as having failed even if it means retroactively redefining his mission
And dismissed by the legislative branch not the executive branch
And definitely not by Trump

I disagree with you about Grassley. He has been unrelenting. And it is starting to look like he was the only one to ask the correct question of Comey. The question which puts Comey’s stones in a vice with respect to McCabe opening his big mouth over the weekend. One of them is lying...big time.
Grassley knows exactly what is going on here. Wish we had 435 of them.

Try breaking them down into smaller groups, like maybe a bunch of dimes and nickels.
Fired and spend the rest of his days at GITMO. He’s ignored every terrorist threat since 9/11.
There are so many landmines set around this Mueller thing that Trump is doing what he should be doing, giving him enough rope to hang himself and not interfering in any way.
Getting fired is Mueller’s fall back plan. He can’t find the evidence he is seeking, so he seeks to obtain the same result by forcing Trump to fire his ass so the firing can be the evidence.
