Four billboards have appeared in Wichita, Kansas; all of them bearing the same somber message: Andy Finch is dead. If you believe in justice, its time to file charges.
In December, a Wichita police officer fatally shot Andy Finch after a fake emergency call directed law enforcement to the 28-year-old victims home. A man in California has since been charged with involuntary manslaughter for the so-called swatting hoax call, but the victims family and community activists have repeatedly called for the officer who killed Finch who was unarmed at the time of the shooting to come under greater scrutiny. The officer has not been charged with a crime.

They're even worse, those "pop" noises will make cops near die of fright.
Ive come to the opinion that cops should be given an IQ test as part of their selection.
How many tries would they get to pass?
“Oh, and in case youre unaware...and I suspect youre not...youre the one spitting insanity.”
Yes, calling for an investigation and trial before the execution is just insane.
“And that is CLEARLY not the case.”
I’d take that bet. Few here share your hatred of the police, or your willingness to leap to presumptions of guilt.
Do you really think your sycophantic cop sucking and petulant denials change ANY opinions here? The MAJORITY of FReepers no longer trust law enforcement, and for good reason.
“Few here share your hatred of the police”
Therein is the essential problem.
You accuse anyone who wants to see a single cop prosecuted of hating the police.
And it’s not true, no matter how much you wish it to be so.
I have several family members that are cops.
And I understand it’s a common tactic to conflate scrutiny of one cop with “hating the police”. Well, that sh!t doesn’t work around here.
Save it for the stupid people you hang out with. Because only stupid people believe holding one cop accountable for a prima facie crime equals “hating the police”.
I would also say that them thinking of the rest of us as "civilians" is another big transition.
It’s formal policy, in at least some locations, that having a high IQ is a disqualification from becoming a police officer.
An important question. Like you, I'd like to see the entire concept of "qualified immunity" looked at a lot more closely, and most likely done away with for the most part.
Some of us have enough outrage to direct it at more than one target.
If “law enforcement” does indeed continue to progress toward acting like an occupying army, “collateral damage be damned”, the collateral damage will ultimately come back to affect them and their families, and you personally, Max.
“You accuse anyone who wants to see a single cop prosecuted of hating the police.”
Well, that’s another lie. But then, lies are all you have.
“I have several family members that are cops.”
Bet when you’re not around all they talk about is kicking your ass.
“And I understand”
No you don’t.
“Well, that sh!t doesnt work around here.”
You don’t speak for this board.
“Because only stupid people believe holding one cop accountable for a prima facie crime equals hating the police.
Do you even know what “prima facie” means?
And it’s not just “one cop.” Every time there’s any accusation against a cop, no matter how flimsy, you’re all over it like some benzedrine banshee, spraying poison in all directions and howling for cop lives.
Go back to DU and leave sane people alone.
That assertion is evidence you are NOT a “godly conservative”.
