Mike Spies recently spent a year investigating Marion Hammer, the legendary NRA board member and Second Amendment proponent in Florida.
Michael Spies is no novice. He is a professional writer who was on the editorial board of the New Yorker for over three years. He has a Bachelors in English from the University of Vermont, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Non-Fiction from Columbia University in the City of New York. He spent nearly two years at Vocativ, leaving in June of 2015 to join The Trace, the hard-core anti-Second Amendment blog financed by Michael Bloomberg.

Much of Spies investigation centered on freedom of information requests for emails from the Florida Legislature.
Mike, uncontroversially, found that Marion Hammer is an effective lobbyist for restoring Second Amendment rights.
Most bills are written by lobbyists, who keep in close contact with sympathetic legislators. Marion is no exception. Spies highlights one of Marion's success stories. From thetrace.org:

In March 2013, an 8-year-old Maryland boy was suspended from his elementary school after he chewed a Pop-Tart into the shape of a gun and pretended to shoot his classmates. Five months later, in September, Hammer set about crafting a bill that would prohibit schools from disciplining students who play with pretend guns.

A radical ant-Bill of Rights group paid for a year-long effort to discredit civil rights leader, Marion Hammer. They failed miserably. Ms. Hammer is a board member of the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization, the NRA.
Ms. Hammer’s long history of working to protect the Constitutional rights of the people of Florida has made her a heroine to people who value our rights and a target of the statists who oppose those rights.
I was just going to write this! Hilarious. Try to imagine the level of literacy from the professor or academic who designed THAT title for a degree.
Like all universities, the man on the street segment is always enjoyable, NYU student was asked what they thought of the SOTU speech last night, and the tirade of expletives and hate toward Trump ensued, NOTE: the SOTUS speech had not occurred yet. Another group of university students were given highlights from SOTUS speech “after it had occurred” and they again spewed their narrative on Trump, NOTE: it was from Obama’s SOTUS speech and lastly a female black student filed a complaint with NYU university that the cooks were racist in offering a menu on black history month including watermelon fried chicken and ribs, The moral of the story....... the cooks she had fired were all black! DEFUND THESE PROPAGANDA HOUSES OF NON EDUCATION
