It is gross and it’s made the babies gross. They need a good shower to clean their poor down. However, they can’t really do that till they have an undercoat. I’ve never seen such a nasty nest, but I’ll bet the stuff is healthy for growing eaglets.
That is one fat mouse, and I did catch another one with it. Family time, I guess. :)
Boy, do those babies EVER need a bath!! I think they got a little wet this evening when the rain started but they need a good drenching to get that funk off.
I reckon that gunk is good for them but GACK!
I didn’t notice the second mouse but it’s no surprise. There are three at the MN nest and they’re all fat. Good eatin’ at those nests. LOL
