Republican Danny Tarkanian has reportedly agreed to drop his primary against Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) and instead run for the House after getting a public shove from President Trump on Fridayto do so, boosting Hellers chances of reelection in the Democratic-leaning state.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reported that Tarkanian has decided on another House run (hes lost two previous bids for the House and six different campaigns in the state) almost immediately after Trump tweeted that he should do so and leave Heller alone.

Im glad the candidate, Tarkanian, was smart enough to see this and realize whats at stake. He didnt let his ego get in the way, something unusual in a politician!
And yet...no bill
I live here. Can’t stomach Heller. But, I get that Trump is supporting Rs because he needs people he can muscle to push his agenda. We need to keep the House and Senate, or the Deep State will prevail. We have to unite or we’ll be back under DS suppression.
Kasich is Brown only in a smaller, self-centered version.
Lock him in the statehouse so he can only harm one of the 50.
It’s Brown we’ve got to get rid of. He’s so far left he makes Hillary seems like a Trumpster. /sarc
WTH?! I will never vote for Heller, with or without Trump endorsement. I’ll sit out that vote or even vote the Dem to make sure Heller is out. He is pro-amnesty Never Trumper. A real loser. A Dem would be preferable than having a Never Trumper that you can’t trust.
Who is advising Trump?! He is repeatedly picking losers, obvious losers: Moore, Saccone, and now Heller. Does he want to be on the losing side?!
A mistake, why the hell doesn’t he lean on Joe in AZ? McSally is another Flake and Joe is causing the base vote to split so she gets in just like Flake and just like McTraitor kept getting in.
Yes, Joe belongs in a retirement home, not on the campaign trail. Trump seems to be standing up less than credible candidates, many are Never Trumpers that will stab him in the back.
And Tarkanian has a bad track record of consistently losing races, so he’ll likely damage Heller and still lose, setting Heller up for an avoidable loss. Or he’ll win the primary and lose the general. Neither is worth the risk of one less Senator.
The Republicans in AZ have a 3% to 10% advantage. The 10% plays out when we have a conservative running.
McSully is not a democrat. She is also not a conservative.
Kyrsten Sinema is not that strong a candidate on the Dem ticket. A lot of the older folks aren’t that in to openly bi-sexual representation in the Senate.
Kelli Ward today. Kelli Ward tomorrow, Kelli Ward in the primary and Kelli Ward on election day.
Thing is ...do you want Smuckie Shummer picking what comes up for a vote!!!!!!
Isn’t he essentially doing that now?
And wicker Is free of his McDaniel primary challenge in MS.
Another sign just like the race in Alabama that the POTUS has closed ranks with the RINO’s. He did endorse none other than Mitt Romney for Senate some weeks ago in Utah.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio is in splitting the votes with Kelli Ward in Arizona giving the RINO Martha McSally a shot at getting through.
The POTUS praised Ward in a tweet last year without endorsing. Will he shift to trying to openly shove her out or is Sheriff Joe being used to do the dirty work of taking her votes so the RINO wins?
Sen. Heller has four primary opponents. They are:
Sherry Brooks (R)
Vic Harrell (R)
Tom Heck (R) - Public Works Manager, Ex-Town Manager., Retired USAF Officer & ‘16 Candidate
Gary Anthony Meyers (R) - Singer, Actor & Businessman
I don’t know much about them.
Don’t know any. Just know that Heller will NEVER get my vote. Too bad Trump endorsed him. Should offer him position as ambassador to Belize or somewhere, then endorse a Trump Republican.
