Thousands of people fled the besieged area of Eastern Ghouta on Thursday as Syrian forces advanced into the rebel-held enclave on the edge of Damascus, state TV and monitoring groups reported.
The Syrian news agency SANA said more than 10,000 had escaped from the town of Hamoriya to government-controlled parts of the Syrian capital. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) put the figure at more than 12,500.
Images on state TV showed hundreds of people carring their belongings out the enclave on foot and in the back of pickup trucks. Soldiers were seen in the footage, but there were no signs of local or international aid groups.

That’s no Gouda.
This is an evacuation through a humanitarian corridor opened by Russia and the Syrian government after they captured the town of Hammuriyeh
The people are flooding into Syrian govt controlled areas
Relief aid is being delivered
The Syrians are steadily rolling up the radical militias who have held these people as shields while shelling neighborhoods of Damascus
The Russians seem to be working out terms with the jihadist militia who are willing to split and cooperate with the govt and pro Assad tribes. And killing those who wont.
I think they could pacify this area within a month unless we the USA and NATO step in and bomb them to save Al Qaeda in order to deny success to Assad and the Russians. Which cynically and sadly is likely to happen unless Trump sees through this heated hysterical rhetoric tying Syria to the UK - Russian double agent attack

I'm sure they are behind the ground pounders that they will order into battle, ...far behind.
But no matter how far behind, they are still within the sight of God.
Agreed, very much! It seems, though, that receding before the obvious expansionism will cost us much more later. Enemies amassing and wanting to build facilities there have frequently threatened to annihilate us.
ever since Obie practically created the Izlamik Statek, what you said is so true
Iranis allow Churches and even synagogues to function -- you don't see that in Saudia.
