Or just pedestrians?
It's the American way!
Heaven knows. Perhaps that the thing would hold while they were progressing to the next stage of the project.
This is the only one in the Breaking News sidebar.
Next time, check and look before posting.
Ain’t no brag if you can do it.
The SJWs are psychotic and push an agenda of hate, revenge, and exclusion/blacklisting.
As the posters inside NASA used to say, Apollo will be judged by its accomplishments, not its goals.
Low Bid Contractors!
WORTH REPEATING...
How many jobs have been “won” by the lowest, cheapest, fastest bidder for Industrial and Commercial projects that should have had million $ price tags but were bid at $500k or below and ended up being disasters?
The labor for this bridge was probably built by Haitians and Dominicans straight off the boat.
I wonder how many illegal construction workers they used?
Oh no. Kids are going to be walking out of school again across the country.
No steel, just pre-stressed concrete. Cable-stays to support it were not in place.
Above is a link to Conservative Treehouse on this as well.
The circumstances that appear to be involved in this tragedy really tick me off. The initial information suggests to that this is more likely to be something deficient during the construction phase than the design phase. This will be determined later though.
No matter though, why were automobiles (and possibly pedestrians?) allowed into the construction zone prior to testing being performed and the results signed off on by the enginer-in-charge. Completely mind boggling.
Information in Sundance’s post indicated a cable failure. If so, it could be an inaccurate specification from the designer, a non-approved substitution, a steel supplier error where the grade delivered did not match the supplier's as-delivered certification documents or the steel had bogus certifications from somewhere within the supply chain.
It probably won’t matter because with this many people involved, as they’ll likely go after everyone involved in the design, construction etc...The lawyers will work overtime trying to figure out how to find blame at every stage of development etc.
