Nikki Haley warns: Russia could use chemical weapons in New York

New York City could be the next site of a chemical assassination attempt if world leaders fails to punish Russia for its alleged role in poising of a former spy in the United Kingdom, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley warned Wednesday.

“If we don't take immediate concrete measures to address this now, Salisbury will not be the last place we see chemical weapons used,” Haley told the United Nations Security Council. “They could be used here in New York, or in cities of any country that sits on this Council. This is a defining moment.”

Haley raised the specter of new attacks during an emergency council meeting, held at the request of British officials who have accused Russia of using “a military-grade nerve agent” to target a former military intelligence officer who committed treason. Russian diplomats have denied responsibility for the incident, but British investigators say they have identified the poison as a chemical weapon produced by the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

“Time and time again, member-states say they oppose the use of chemical weapons under any circumstance,” Haley said. “Now one member stands accused of using chemical weapons on the sovereign soil of another member. The credibility of this council will not survive if we fail to hold Russia accountable.”

I think Haley would only state at the security counsel what is approved by the Whitehouse. Personally, I see nothing wrong with the administration’s response.

Interesting time-line:

Putin makes speech announcing new weapons that could overwhelm missile defense.

Two US Senators (Feinstein and Sanders) issue statement calling for dialog with Russia.

Jeremy Corbyn makes speech calling for dialog with Russia.

Poisoning incident occurs and Russia immediately blamed.

Does this fit a pattern? (Think of the U2 incident that blew up a planned meeting between Eisenhower and Khrushchev.)

Why do you think so many Russians move to London anyway?! (I have lived in both UK/Russia.)

The oligarchs can afford to. Certainly. But not only is Russia more Muslim than Western Europe, but have you ever experienced average Russian living standards?

We have no allies in the world. We have a collection of wheedling grifters and dependents.

Each and every one is liability and a charity case, and we don’t need to float another Moslem sh!thole like Britain.

Bottom line.

Sarah Sanders just weighed in as well and is consistent with Haley.

North Korea did it first by threatening war and firing missiles.

BIG DIFFERENCE!!! Haha S.M.H. Nice try though Haha!

Reagan was dealing with the Soviet Union that was talking about world domination. Last time I checked Russia was not doing that.

Oh yea.. ....***NEWS FLASH*** The Soviet Union has been dead for over a quarter century.

You treating Russia like the communist Soviet Union is like treating Germany today as if it’s Nazi, Germany or Japan during World War II. It’s an irrelevant point and terrible analogy. Not even remotely close.

Oh so that makes nuclear war with Russia and the end of mankind a good idea?

I disagree with you. Russia is a dictatorship right now unlike Germany or Japan.

Wrong. I have been through the cold war. Deterrence and strength keeps Russia in its place.

Enlightened1, I lived in Russia between 2015-17. A new Cold War is precisely what the regime wants and the average population is conflicted.

On one hand, they want a go at avenging the collapse of the Soviet Union, but on the other hand they want a better economy, some variety in their elections, and for corruption to be gone. (Every sphere of life from getting a parking ticket to getting a passport stamped is wrought with bribery and corruption.)

They also want more territory back.

Why did Trump pick this never-Trump NeoCon war whore as our UN ambassador? Enough.

It’s so idiotic that it makes Trump look idiotic to keep her.

Nikki and the NeoCon/Swamp/Deep Staters do want a war with Russian and Trump is allowing this witch to speak for our nation at the UN. If she stays, we must conclude that she speaks for Trump.

It looks like the NeoCons/Swamp/Deep State now control US foreign policy & the US military, or Trump has adopted their views. Either scenario spells catastrophe.

Read about novichok
It is formulated from a combo of ingredients that are under no CW treaty control ( which is why it was developed)

Easy to smuggle ingredients and assemble anywhere
The reason given that it must be state-controlled is that it is “ too dangerous” for free lancers - as if we havent heard of terrorists and research labs doing dangerous stuff

Russia says at least 10 countries have it
I believe them

Why are you saying stuff like this when Haley stated exactly what the Whitehouse approved and is even consistent with what Sarah Sanders just stated.

No if we have a nuclear conflict with Russia, then there will be nothing left to keep anything its place.
