President Trump did in fact campaign about using his negotiating skills to end the war mongering. He also campaigned against regime change. Somehow, he got convinced by the globalists that Assad was the bad guy. Trump's on the wrong side, supporting what the US did to topple the gov in Kiev. He got caught up in giving the fake leaders in Afghanistan more time.
On this issue, I support Rand Paul.

Is Trump starting a war?
Not to be confused with a strong defense.

Rand Paul is dutifully upholding his principles, can’t fault him for that.
Trump is acting within a war context, using people as material in the chess sense. Putting insiders in titular positions is a way to blunt his opposition within the agencies. I have little doubt that both Pompeo and Haspel are under his thumb because of information he’s holding over them. Controlled opposition in the most direct sense.
War is a dirty business.

On this issue, I support Rand Paul. So do I. Pompeo is Deep State all the way. I had no love for Tillerson, but this is a big step in the wrong direction.
