We’re 100% in agreement.

Better to have a majority controlling committees and voting add speaker selectoon than quibble over an electable 70% conservative versus an unelectable 90% conservative

Primaries can be a trap

You don't understand.
This STEALING takes place WHERE the ballots are totaled, at the main state office computer.
Read the book I linked to and watch those videos that I linked to.

Exactly. and if the dem wins, when he cast his votes in dc, it will flip the seat back. if that district still exists by then.

Spot on.

There are districts where the republican that is not as conservative as others is the only one that can win the race. It is just fact. Folks who say otherwise and want to ignore simple math are missing the mark. Reagan had an 80 percent rule for a reason.

Committees in the House are set by a certain number. And the minority has basically zero power. All they can do is vote no, and that still won’t stop a dem bill. Do folks really want to rely on the Senate because they were stubborn and would not show up to vote for a Republican who, for what ever reason, they felt was not “pure’? Not if they have any sense. That’s how we got Obamacare.

And for the record, the mandate was the heart of Obamacare and now it is gone. The rest of it will collapse. And the only reason there was not a full repeal is because of the Senate. The house passed through several full repeal provisions.

Again, rather have someone who agrees with our side 70 to 80 percent of the time than not at all. And dems are not at all.

I do think that the GOPe absolutely TRIED to lose this seat. If you watched Dana PeRINO at all in the last few weeks she and her fat toad, Stirewalt, giggled with glee saying how Saccone had “bad messaging” and she basically wet her panties talking about Lamb and what a “great” campaign he ran. They even sent the fat toad, Stirewalt, on the morning shows to talk down Saccone and help Lamb. I’m not saying Saccone was great by any stretch of the imagination, I’m just saying the permanent campaign professional class within the GOPe laid down hard on this election because they hate Trump for not hiring or listening to them or their friends. They absolutely want whoever Trump endorses to lose every race like this so they can go back to being in charge of their little fiefdom.

The GOP pumped a ton more money then they should have in this race. The guy flat out refused to do what it takes to win. PeRINO has absolutely no say at the RNC. Sure she hates Trump, just like Reagan folks hated Bush. (Reality, Reagan let amnesty happen.) They are suckups to the guy they worked for and followed true, as a loyal staffer should. (which is also why Trump is right to sack appointees and others today. He won the race, not Tillerson.)
Saccone had horrible messaging. The crap he said this past month was flat out bad. He sounded like an R version of Pelosi. And he was lazy.

And what is this professional class you claim?

Serously, the “establishment” talk that helped put in Obama still lives on here? Tea Party folks get suckered every year and put in a guy, that they claim two years later is “establishment”. Even when the guy may be a died in the wool conservative. They don’t even really look at votes. Sorry I don’t lend a lot of weight to the GOPe talk.

President Trump is in there for us but economic conditions are still rough and his decision to go with tariffs last week illustrates how tough the fight is to get our economy going in the face of the foreign powers like the EU and China.

The media have been hyping this for days, trying to sell it as a Trump referendum - but that’s just them projecting their groupthink & identity politics on everyone.

Local politics is local.

At 5:30 am EST, there is still no winner, Conor is very slightly ahead with 100% of ballots counted, minus absentee and provisional ballots. Repubs promise to move for a recount if it remains this close.

I wonder how many “uncounted absentee ballots” are now being manufactured...

Current tally has the 2 candidates within 600 votes of each other.

641 votes. Nixon lost narrowly in 1960 after highly dubious voting. He was, despite his later reputation, a gentleman and, I’ve heard, a personal friend of JFK, and so conceded without a recount.

Nixon was wrong! I hope there is a statutorily mandated recount, in case Saccone has any gentlemanly inclinations. F#$* this.

“I hope there is a statutorily mandated recount”

There isn’t for this type of election in PA, according to Fox News last night. Either or both candidates can request a recount, but it isn’t mandated.

There is no freakin’ way that the Dems should be allowed to jump up and down and crow about a “blue wave” and get all psyched until there is one, over 640 votes.

True. In this case, it doesn’t apply since it was a special election, but that is always a trap in a primary.

Choices often have to be made. That old saying “Don’t let ‘perfect’ be the enemy of ‘good enough’” has to be taken into account.

I wish I could get candidates that I agree with on everything, but sadly...that is almost never possible. Sure, there are things I dig my feet in on (core principles) but even then, like most people, I have to hold my nose and vote for a candidate because the alternative is a candidate I abhor.

There are times I have seen a libertarian candidate with whom I was more in agreement than the two on the top of the ticket, but I am not going to vote for the libertarian candidate simply because he or she is un-electable in a general election.

Sad but true.

Doubtful that Saccone will win the mail in ballot.. and even if he does pull this off, the fact it was even close shows the messaging used by republicans in this race will not drive turnout.

November they will certainly lose 23 seats or more if their messaging is what for this race is their plan for the fall. There is no excuse for this race to even being close other than the republicans ran a campaign with terrible and incorrect messaging.

It also shows you can't just put up any shmoe wearing a red MAGA cap. Saccone was an awful candidate.
