Yawn. Putin knows if he goes after Americans in Syria that the Ukrainians will get access to whatever US weapons they want. So he won’t be escalating there.
What makes you imagine that Putin is in charge? This is an Iranian operation with Iranian General Quasm Soleimani in charge - the Russians are just along for the ride and fulfilling whatever treaty obligations they have with the Iranians. Besides this is the proving ground for new Russian weapons for export.
Soleimani has proven his love for attacking and killing US troops in Iraq at least 500 times.

Civilians are trying to get to the SAA areas but to try to flee means death from the islamists who dont want to,lose their human shields
However the SAA seem to have cut the islamist radical held area in half and is making progress on closing the circle and some supplies are actually making it to some civilians
Some of the “ rebels” ( islamists) are being allowed to leave for Idlib as part of the “ ceasefire”
I think the Russians are helping the Syrians sort out among the 5 or so islamist factions and picking out those willing to accept amnesty and those willing to go up to Idlib and fight against other factions
