Former Diablo Valley College adjunct professor Eric Clantons pretrial was moved after initially being set for Feb. 22. Clanton was arrested in May 2017 for the April 2017 protests in Berkeley where an individual wearing a mask assaulted attendees of the Patriot Rally with a bike lock.
(snip)
The pretrial has been moved to April 5 at 9 a.m. at the René C. Davidson Courthouse in Oakland.

FYI for those interested.
Trial in Oakland, have little hope of a fair trial there.
Where’s the national discussion on bike lock violence? Do they keep our bikes safe, or are they ticking time bombs in the hands of bicyclists?
Meanwhile in Portland, the antifa rioters are suing the police for hurting their self image.
America’s justice system is a clogged toilet. Is there really “justice?”
Its not a complex crime, but it took place in May 2017, and he was arrested and charged shortly afterwards. His “pre-hearing” will take place nearly 1 year after the fact. Then, eventually, after that - there will be a trial....
They are running out the clock and appear to be hoping for a procedural screw-up, as the basis to leg him go.
Shame on Alameda County.
I read that as Eric Clapton. Three times. Wondering what? Did he play too loud?
Sheesh.
Has he been incarcerated during this time?
If not, has he continued to ‘teach’ during this time?
[[I read that as Eric Clapton.]]
I did too-
The charges should include terrorism and assault with a deadly weapon. My guess is that he will do nowhere near as much time as he deserves, even if he is convicted.
That might be Eric Clapner.
Info is very scarce on this matter. I don’t think he is incarcerated but he is no longer teaching (at least at Diablo Valley College where he worked at the time).
Joycelyn is back??
I never understood how this can be consistent with the Constitutionally unambiguous right to a speedy trial; leave it to lawyers to make clearly stated words mean nearly the opposite.
a procedural screw-up, as the basis to leg him go......Yes. He has a right to a timely trial. “Guilty as hell, free as a bird.”, sound familiar?
I don’t know why they bother. If jurors there won’t convict an illegal who shot an innocent woman with an illegal gun, why would they convict this guy?
Thanks for posting. Justice delayed...
Excellent point. I am somewhat surprised that any liberals get charged with crimes in Kalifornia. Never mind convicted.
He shot the sheriff.
