And I’ll repeat this. If you are responding to an incident outside your jurisdiction, you have a RESPONSIBILITY to let your command where the hell you are. This isn’t debatable.

They were with the officers they were training with.

And they were off duty.

So no.

And that is not debatable.

When 2 men are TDY from Miramar to Coral Springs for SWAT cross training and Coral Springs unit moves to site, do the 2 men move with that unit? TDY means you are with that unit and responsible to that unit. Would you call by phone or radio? Would the two departments even be on same radio freq.?

Off duty police respond to situations every day and I've never heard anyone being suspended for doing so.
