This begs the question “what the F was going on?” I don’t think we will ever know the TRUTH.

Agreed. Who gave the order for the abrupt turn and under what circumstances? Was it solely the result of a hissy-fit by the helmsman-person?

This was so outrageous that my early speculation centered on an uncontrollable mechanical problem that an 'all stop' could not have mitigated; or even successful interference of the navigation by external forces whether or not hostile.

If the latter, the USN's public position would be justified.

ten people died.............ergo someone or “ones” need to be prosecuted as SOMEONE was responsible for this!

How the hell does the Navy think a few command changes is enough.............I don’t .............people DIED !!!

Something “Flagrant” happened. Perhaps drugs, perhaps booze, perhaps sex, perhaps marijuana, people absent from positions...........SOMETHING!...........and the Navy is embarrassed and when they get embarrassed they cover up!
