Unless named, I wouldn’y count on it. There us a distinct possibility that he appointed just another Obama holdover. Foir some reason Sessions can’t tell the difference between a Trump supporting lawyer and one that is not.
Sessions doesn’t seem to operate upon the very cogent fact that Obama had weaponized the DOJ , the IRS, EPA, NSA, and The FBI against the Constitution, seeking to destroy the balance it brings and also destroy the security of America.
iF WE DO NOT KNOW WHO SESSIONS APPOINTED IN PARALLEL, THEN IT COULD VERY WELL BE just ANOTHER LIBERAL FASCIST.
Sessions gives the appearance that he actually is working FOR Mueller and Comey.
This is very encouraging news!! It suggests that a lot more has been going on behind the scenes..... maybe Sessions will pleasantly surprise us all.
It is not required to make such appointment public. Perhaps to protect that individual and keep Horowitz on edge.
Sessions wants Trump impeached. End of Story.
Perhaps Sessions appointed an experienced and fair-minded outside prosecutor with an interest in justice, not politics. That’s all I’m asking for here.
To the extend the political fallout can turned to Trump/GOP advantage, that can be managed by the Republicans’ political people. Political loyalty should not be an issue with which the DOJ concerns itself. Such considerations are, in fact, a large part of why the OIG/DOJ prosecutors are investigating Obama’s administration in the first place: a hyper-politicized DOJ caused corruption.
Appears, I say "appears" instead of napping, Sessions has been busy and may have been playing opossum.
I admit I doubted him. I will proclaim how happy I will be to learn I am wrong. Like all of you . . . I am a result-oriented, handcuff em, put em in jail, for their treasonous acts. Justice now . . . . Ain't gonna happen.
Now . . . President's Trumps comments need to be put into context. They all playing the biggest mis-direction game of our lifetime?

I ordinary circumstances I would agree,m but the DOJ and other federal agencies have been traduced and weaponized against Republicans duly elected by the People.
Sessions has a duty to REFURN the DOJ to the status quo you describe so well. To do that he must appoint solid Republican operatives to either supervise those continuing to weaponize our federal agencies against the people, or simply fire them , npo cause is required to do so within the DOJ.
Who knows anymore? It strikes me that for a nation that is supposedly run by “We the People” there is one hell of a lot they don’t seem to want us to know.

Sessions needs to appoint a team of prosecutors same as Bob Mueller has. And get these lawyers from states from outside Washington DC. Get ones are not Swamp contaminated. Sessions can easily find 20 very competent eager beaver lawyers from conservative states...just for a start. Who are quick learners.

A Special Prosecutor is not out of the question; Sessions already responded to the Goodlatte/Gowdy letter by stating he is considering their request.
The fact is that the OIG has been investigating since January 2017 and the DOJ prosecutor and Congressional committees since last summer. This means an eventual special prosecutor can hit the ground at a full sprint with most, if not all of the investigative material they will need handed to them on a silver platter. Moreover, The FBI’s Little Rock field office has been investigating Clinton Foundation for several months already.
Grand Juries can be empanelled immediatey (if they haven’t already been). Give Sessions and Trump some credit; they are not napping.
I hope the first thing the special prosecutor does is subpoena Mueller over his reasons why he decided to go after Trump when the overwhelming evidence points to DNC collusion.
