The Ukrainian authorities began to seize assets of the Russian holding company Gazprom for allegedly failing to comply with the Stockholm Arbitration Order and violating the monopoly legislation of Ukraine. It happened following the comments of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the court decision, the department of the state executive service intends to recover from Gazprom almost 172 billion hryvnia in favor of the state budget of Ukraine.

"In this case, the identification and arrest of assets belonging to Gazprom in Ukraine began," it was reported.

Among being seized the property of the companies Gazpromprom Ukraina and the International Consortium for the Management and Development of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine, securities of Institute YuzhNIIGIPROGAZ and JSC Gaztranzit.

Earlier on March 7, Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman instructed the Ministry of Justice and the leadership of Naftogaz to study the possibility of seizing the assets of the Russian companies elsewhere in the world.

When Russia can sell all it produces without a nickels worth going to Europe, it's not giving up if they just sell elsewhere. If the EU wants to sanction itself by paying three or four times as much for gas, how is that bad for Russia?

They've put up with so much BS from Ukraine for so long there's no reason for them to continue to care what the rest of Europe wants unless those countries are willing to work on new pipelines that leave the thieves in Ukraine out of the loop. That's not giving up, it's sobering up.

Bottom line is that Russia wants Ukraine back. Ukraine is rich in natural resources that Russia wants. Poroshenko is a Russian toady and will sell out his country.
