No need for a Bumpfire stock. Amazingly fun! Accuracy is naturally compromised, though. Short handgun cartridges have the highest cyclic rate, since less bolt travel is needed.
Bumpfiring is 100% legal, and safe in a properly maintained modern sporting rifle. Some gun ranges do not like it, though, because they feel you dont have adequate control of the firearm. I am sure that could well be the case of you bumpfired a cartridge anywhere from .308 NATO on up.
.308 NATO ?
“.308 NATO ?
Yes, those, also known as a 7.62 NATO, or .308 Winchester, or 7.62x 51, have enough recoil to make it hard to control.
Ain’t it amazing that ‘bumpfire’ has been on youtube forever and people think it’s new?
But DO copy and past the YouTube video links into your browser, and TURN UP the sound! I think you will be most IMPRESSED!
True. Well, it IS new, for the great masses, and particularly the Monolithic Media Cartel people, who know nothing about firearms.
I had an AK74 in 5.45 and it would bump fire at cyclic rate. It was very controllable with the sling letting it rest at waist height. Just put my finger on the trigger and my thumb thru the belt loop in my pants. It would run thru the whole mag without stopping.

Cool! So, it did not throw the empty cases near your face, then?
Copy and PASTE
Do you need a full auto magazine clip to do this? ;)
ANY decent 20 or 30 round magazine will work FINE. Or a 75 or 100 rounder.
Wouldn’t that be kinda rough on the shoulder?..............
LOL
More fodder to support banning semi-autos....
“Wouldnt that be kinda rough on the shoulder?..............”
Most bumpfire techniques do not use the shoulder. But yes, it could feel like an M-14 on full auto.
OK, you win. I just, I just... I don't know what else to say. Auh, you win. Thanks!
Don’t give em ammo to kill all semi autos.
Just saying.
I will be shoulder to shoulder with you for our God given rights.
“More fodder to support banning semi-autos....”
FYI, from now on I am referring to semi-auto firearms, like a typical rifle before OR after a Bumpfire stock is installed, as a single-shot rifle, since one single trigger pull = one single shot. FULL autos would be multi-shot. Beatem at their word games!
I’ve a .308 rifle...and it’s very easy to control.
I installed the Franklin Armory BSF3 a couple of months ago, but still haven’t shot it.
Seriesly considering getting the Fostech Echo before they get outlawed by idiots, but need the $$$ first.
I have no use for bump stocks, but my personal tastes shouldn’t be mandated by morons who have no clue about firearms.
