The Department of Justice announced Wednesday additional documents related to the Operation Fast and Furious scandal during the Obama administration will be released to the House Oversight Committee. The documents were previously withheld by Attorney General Eric Holder, who was voted in civil and criminal contempt of Congress for refusing to turn them over.
The Department of Justice under my watch is committed to transparency and the rule of law. This settlement agreement is an important step to make sure that the public finally receives all the facts related to Operation Fast and Furious, Attorney General Jeff Sessions released in a statement.

Take the racist bastard down!
That ought to shut the criminal holder the hell up, since his job in CA is to protect the CA govt dem machine by preventing deportation of illegals and promoting sanctuary citys and state of CA sanctuary. Ought to shut him up about Trump’s so-called investigation by Mueller—he was commenting on it 2 days back.
Go for the jugular.
Good point! MoonBeam and Holder repeated the same lame talking points recently. make sense!
Only if something is actually done about it. I have my doubts.
So +1 for "Shoot off your fat racist mouth some more, Holder."
That reminds me of a favorite song from my childhood: Every party needs a pooper! That’s why we invited you! Party Pooper! Party Pooper!
I think of the Trey Gowdy hearings on Benghazi. Did anyone go to jail for what happened? Was anyone ultimately held accountable? Why would anyone expect it to be different this time regarding this matter? Especially considering we have an attorney general that lacks the mettle to do what needs to be done.

So, you think that a Congressional Committee can send people to jail? The crooks were in charge of the Executive Branch, including the Justice Department. They aren’t in charge any more, but they are still infest it.
Civilian trials with corrupt judges and leftist juries is not going to get the job done. It takes a while to set up the scale of military courts martial, and military prison facilities that are required to handle the vermin.
Take a look at the White House web site and see it there might be something about Military Courts Martial on it.
As for Jeff Sessions’ not doing anything: It takes time to build the trap so the rats can’t escape.
That is all crap. It would be hard to find a man with more regard for the legal system or a greater love of our country than the Attorney General. This is amply illustrated by his recognition Before Anyone else that what this nation needed was Donald Trump.
Intelligent commenters here have repeatedly pointed to the necessity for proper timing of these actions in order to maximize the impact on the Mid-terms.
Which Attorney General has faced active attempts by many of the states to overthrow the government through court actions?
Oh I hope this is true. When Holder pulled the race card I knew there was never going to be anything else but so much came out and he was guilty as hell as is Soetero and a hundred others. Might not be proven in court but he’s freaking guilty.
Oh, another Sessions sycophant babbling ad nauseam the same xD-chess nonsense and insulting those who don’t want to lick Sessions’ ass.
Pathetic!
I certainly would not state it that way. But, I do have eyes and I am able to reason. So, yes, I have determined DOJeff is doing a fantastic job. Which is NOT surprising because he is great for all the reasons Trump picked him:
-First powerful supporter of Trump, still the most loyal.
-Incredibly honest and by-the-book guy. Doesn't rush or short-change Justice for political points.
-Very conservative (95% rating) and very, VERY successful career - like 3 people voted against him last run.
-Quite NRA-friendly: A+ rating.
-Totally fearless in the face of juveniles on the Left... and on the phony Right.
-AND... extremely appropriate experience for the job: previously an AG, US Attorney, long-term Senator from a highly conservative state, relevant committees, etc
Plus, the guy has been an absolute machine when it comes to implementing Trump's policy agenda / campaign promises. Which is much, much more important than vengeful posturing. And arguably more important to address in his first year than prosecuting all the many folks from prior admins who deserve to be prosecuted. Those creeps are not going anywhere in the meantime. And real justice takes quite a bit longer than executive driven policy changes.
In case you don't recall... Sessions was not even AG yet and Trump was not even president yet when prez-elect Don, barely after the balloons stopped falling, came out with his first big flip/flop: saying he now did not want to go after 'crooked Hillary' because, in Trump's opinion, she had already suffered greatly. And recall that he is DOJeff's boss and that was still the boss's stance when he hired Jeff.
Also, in a technical sense, since I'm neither within physical proximity of the AG nor even remotely employed by him... it's not possible for me to be a 'sycophant'.
"...babbling ad nauseam..."
I'll give you that one in a general sense. My last post was unnecessarily long. However, most of it was providing relevant facts, a rough history of the very old (political time) and very complex set of scandals commonly referred to as "Fast and Furious" and trust-worthy sources to find much deeper detail for anyone who is capable of more than name-calling regarding this vitally important topic.
And, yes, I did throw in a sarcastic reference to the assumed Jedi chess skills of The Don. I was quite clear about not knowing if my specific theory in that regard is actually true. Feel free do disagree. Better yet, provide some additional facts to convince me I'm wrong. I'm quite open to that.
Now that I look at it, this comment is way too long as well. Anyway, I probably could not care much less whether you agree with me or not. I just hope you don't paint yourself into a stubborn corner so much that you can't admit Sessions is doing great work when/if people do start being prosecuted. The wheels of Justice are quite obviously already in motion: long-sealed (by Obama) documents being released, IG ready to report, outside prosecutor at work and much more.
Treat me and Trump's fantastic AG as the enemy, including your weird and disgusting sexual reference if that is what floats your boat. But I'm not sure I understand how it helps you. Without any reason or argument employed in your remarks, they are more telling of you than of me.
“Without any reason or argument employed in your remarks, they are more telling of you than of me. “
Sessions record as a complete failure if not traitorous scoundrel is clear:
1. Took the job as AG then immediately recused himself
2. Refused to support his replacement in election causing loss of Senate seat
3. Allowed the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the President with no evidence of a crime
4. Refused to appoint a special counsel to investigate the obvious crimes of the democrats and DOJ agents
5. Lois Lerner off the hook
6. Blind eyes to lawless sanctuary cities
7. No investigation of Wasserman Schultzs IT aide Imran
8. No investigation of Uranium One
9. No investigation of Obama letting Hezbollah selling drug
10. Greenlight for civil assets forfeiture (aka seizure of property without warrant)
11. Repeated refusal to release documents to congressional commitees (Fisa transcripts, Comeys memos...)
12. More power to Rosenstein despite his undeniable conflicts of interest (Rosenstein signed the document submitted to FISA for spying Trum!)
13. No public endorsement for the wall.
- No investigation of voter frauds
- No criminal indictment of the federal thugs in the Bundy case (Sessions could have stopped the mistrial and restore justice just with a stroke of the pen)
- No investigation of the Las Vegas massacre
- No investigation of sheriff Israel police department in the Florida school shooting (he has recused himself and given the investigation to... Rosenstein!)
- No purge of the DOJ swamp (compared to the thorough work done by Pruitt at the EPA).
etc, etc...
Sessions has done nothing for more than one year, except window dressing and sabotaging Trumps agenda. He is a pathetic traitor with zero decency, otherwise, he would have resigned long ago.
Good grief! Do you even read the news?
“Sessions has done nothing for more than one year...”
Good grief! Do you even read the news? “
I gave a whole list of damning reasons to fire Sessions and all you can come up is a rhetoric question. How any more pathetic could it be?
You're the one who posted a silly list containing:
-Several assumptions about things neither of us can verify because the great and wise AG Sessions has, thank God, always been famous for being closed-mouth about open investigations.
-Random opinions on subjects as off-topic as asset forfeitures. And campaign / issue endorsements which are NOT something we typically want an AG doing.
-And, most ironically, several wrong statements about current investigations that you apparently don't realize are already in the news, some for months now.
But I'm obtuse. Gotcha.
There has already been at least one multi-count indictment on Uranium One, for one radioactive example.... Thanks to DOJeff and the courts, documents long sealed off by Obama/Holder regarding the topic at hand - F&F, if you recall - are being released.... The AG is actively (via unnamed, thankfully, beltway-outsider prosecutor ) looking into a possible 2nd SC for the FISA / DOJ agent corruption issues.... Imran (and others) have already been indicted and are still being investigated.... Master Jeff did, after years of Obama/Lerner stalling, resolve the more immediately important hundreds of cases involving TEA party and others in their favor and by no means has said anything about letting Lerner off the hook.... He did just win in court regarding the wall - even though the judge is a famous Trump hater.... plus a long series of other fine accomplishments not related to your inaccurate list.
And... SuperJeff is absolutely on fire regarding THE numero uno issue and campaign promise of his boss - it's Trump, in case you also missed that news as well. And Trump is totally in-sync with the AG's fantastic work suing CA to kill three of their illegal laws AND both men have said they are looking into the illegally defiant Mayor Schaaf specifically.
Much of your screed is simply opinion about priorities and timings. You don't have to agree, but it is my conclusion that AGJeff has placed the highest priority on righting the many, many policy-level wrongs of the prior admin because those would otherwise create more victims if he did nothing but pursue political crimes. At the same time, though, he IS investigating several of the things you and I want investigated. He always has been a slow and deliberate (AND secret) prosecutor, which is why he is so dang successful. He knows the horrible people we both want brought to justice eventually are NOT going anywhere in the meantime. If it is simply hatred that drives you, then consider that these targets know SuperJeff's reputation better than you seem to and their guts are probably twisting right now knowing that the attempts to goad Trump into firing him did not work - thank the Lord!
I had the ever-wise DOJeff investigating you all night - he never sleeps - and he has ruled this discussion a clear case of casting political pearls before swine. So I will not be replying to this otherwise long dead thread again.
I'm not here to anger you, but I will, on parting, give one tiny bit of advice which is probably worth to you even less than you are paying for it: Self-induced stress is deadly. Take a breath, maybe read some news, have a shot or two and then get back to the seemingly endless and pointless arguments here on FR. Either way, please feel free to call me more names if that is 'winning' in your mind.
The ends always justify the means with these people, which is why I can't honestly say that orchestrating school shootings would be beyond them.
