In May 2011, a woman contacted the Portland Police Bureau to make an allegation against Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and one of the most visible figures in entertainment and sports.
Her complaint? That Cuban had sexually assaulted her late one night at an Old Town nightclub.
The woman told police she encountered Cuban in late April at the Barrel Room, at 105 NW 3rd Ave., and asked him to pose with her for a photograph. While they smiled for the camera, she claimed, he thrust his hand down the back of her jeans and penetrated her vagina with his finger.
The alleged assaultand a full transcript of Cuban's response to the accusationare detailed in a police report WW obtained via a public records request.
The allegation has never previously been reported. After an investigation, the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office determined there was insufficient evidence to press criminal charges.

I think that would have been the natural reaction
Or at the minimum, pull away once he crossed the line.
Not only do women have an advantage in the workplace when they are looking for a way to advance their career, they also have an advantage when it comes to acquiring wealth.
Life is spectacularly unfair to men.
I wonder how long it will be before ABC kicks him off of Shark Tank? If at all.
My wife says she would scream and slap the sh*t out of the guy if he tried that move on her.
But then again, we're not shakers and movers like the nightclub and Cuban crowd are.
You would have went crazy on him if he forcibly put his finger in your vagina, Davey?
“Anyway, she started it, and effectively invited it. SHE asked HIM to pose with her for the picture.”
You left off your sarcasm tag.
There are plenty of celebrities and rich people who think posing with them is a clear invitation for sex.
I really, really hope you are being sarcastic. Because that attitude is the kind of thing that will turn people like me very violent. I am a very peaceful person.
Sounds like a very smart man (with the photo evidence to fend off BS accusations).
From the description of the event, I don’t believe it; if she’d said she was wearing anything else but jeans, she’d have more credibility. Jeans simply don’t work this way.
Rut row
Whats the deal here
Lying on sexual harassment lawsuits has no consequences for the complainant. This would change if people were jailed for extortion by lying in the legal system.
There is no downside from making these accusations, until someone is arrested for making a false police report. Since it is a he-said, she-said, it is not provable, and therefore fails the criminality standard, but is ok for the civil standard. If he has cameras and can prove these women are out and out lying, then maybe some of this will stop.
She must have stood still for that much awkward penetration to have happened.
He seems the type that would do it. Had him pegged as a sicko creep before the stories came out that he was.
I don’t believe the geometry and anatomy of this accusation passes the sniff test.
“Why wouldn’t this woman, the second Cuban stuck his hand down her backside, not start screaming for him to stop? Make a ruckus? Cause a scene?”
I’ve had women stick their hand down my frontside. I never caused a ruckus! I usually liked it!

Sounds like she didn’t know if she was coming or going.
The nonprofit WW Fund for Investigative Journalism provided support for this story.
Just WTH does that mean?!
Just some backround. OR and Portland are 'Rat controlled territory. This looks like a political hit piece to me. Which 'Rats don't want Cuban running and why?
True, but he brought down Kitzhaber, and he should get a medal for that.
Anyone wonder who in Congress would pass an investigation into their private lives?
Possibly for Cuban as well.
But I’d still like to know who’s behind this and why :-)
