The lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels said she engaged in a sexual relationship with President Trump in 2006 and is looking to tell the truth about the encounter.
Michael Avenatti, appearing on NBCs Today show on Wednesday, was asked whether Trump and Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, had an affair.
He said, Yes.
Shes looking to disclose the truth about what happened, Avenatti said. At this point, in light of the amount of misinformation that Mr. Cohen has put out there to the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and others, I think its time for her to tell her story and for the public to decide whos telling the truth.
He was referring to Trumps personal lawyer Michael Cohen, who has said he paid Daniels $130,000 out of his own pocket to remain quiet about the affair in October 2016, just weeks before the presidential election

JFK routinely used prostitutes and assorted paramours while in the White House and Clinton was screwing an intern in the Oval Office yet the Democrats still defended them. If this happened it was a decade ago, however, given Trumps money and position why would he have need to seek out a second rate porn star?
This is a politically motivated hit job and nothing more.
Why are we even discussing it? Why are we even considering the possibility that the paid-for allegations of a whore are true? Why do we have to defend this alleged behavior or discuss whether it would matter to us if it were true?
It is a politically motivated and paid-for hit job - deny it, ignore it - end of story.
“I would like to find some people in power who are not pigs.”
don’t care as much whether leaders are pigs or whether they’re dedicated to America First and Make America Great Again.
besides, no particular reason to believe that poll-dancer Stormy Daniels is telling the truth or whether she’s just an attention-seeking whore.
Donny is a germophobe. He wouldn’t touch it with his ten foot pole.
Yes, I think you are right.
I guess I am too jaded by years in a job that required some locally lobbying. When you spend time with these people—behind closed doors—they are more like the Senator in Godfather II.
I used to think these people really cared. They care-—about themselves.
He could say “it depends on what the meaning of “had” is.
If it’s true, how did this woman and the out-of-pocket expense get under _everyone’s_ radar?
What lawyer pays $130,000 of his own money on behalf of his client and gets _nothing_ in writing?
Sure it'd be great to have an effective President who could double as a moral role model, but that's not for what nor why the country elected him.

Agreed, but as usual the problem is not with the affair it is with the coverup.
Cohen is a moron. Why pay this woman off in the first place? And why pay her days before the election? He created this problem and continues to give it legs.
I’m not happy about it, but I realize that the President has a morally checkered past. Ultimately I voted in the best interest of the country and so did millions of other Americans. I think Trump should just come clean about what we already know (and don’t care about), and throw the idiot “lawyer” Cohen under the bus for creating a whole mess around this. The legacy media will then have no story to advance - we all know Trump behaved like a horndog in the past. So what?
The potential issue for Trump is if campaign funding was used in any payoff. Hopefully at least that’s on the up & up in the sleaziness, but as you say, this lawyer doesn’t seem the most competent or sensible.
As one “woman on the street” interviewed by NPR said, when asked about the “grab ‘em by the...” remark, “I’m voting for a president, not a husband.”
This issue says more about those bringing it up than about trump. Solomon and David were not saints in this area either.
What this pathetic over the hill whore has to say is irrelevant. The tactic is to sway the dummies in any demographic. The left’s tactic is hit and run; small victories for big victory.
