Iranian sources blamed the architect of a recently-built mosque for having a an affinity for "secular Judaism" and participating in a "Zionist plot."
The new mosque, built in Tehran, follows a minimalist design which according to the architects is symbolic of "early Islam's modesty."
However, more conservative voices have criticized the mosque's design for the fact that it differs from traditional mosques around the world.
In their opinion, the design is the result of "secular and Jewish influence."
Mashregh, a local news site, claimed the new mosque looks like a kippah (skullcap or beanie), and that the architects must stand trial for "reason"...

What makes you think its a typo?
Surely reason is forbidden by Islam.
A man is to submit, not reason for himself.
You know... when I think about it... maybe getting up this morning and strapping explosives to my chest was not such a great idea...
“Instead I’ll strap them to my underwear and board a plane. That’ll teach me to have sinful urges.”
Huh? The Haghia Sophia and plenty of other mosques look like skullcaps with their shallow domes. Anyways, if we Catholics have had to put up with ugly modernist churches, the Shiites can put up with modernist mosques...
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. The Hagia Sophia mosque was originally a Byzantine church. And besides, these shallow-domed mosques look more like a teenage girl’s boobs after they outgrow training bras and start to look impressive.
I believe they should fight each other to the death to decide who is correct. It’s the only way to be sure.
Does Islam accept responsibility for anything? Other than violence against their neighbors, I mean?
The Haghia Sophia was built as a church. It is nearly 600 years older than Islam and older even than the Vatican.
Well gosh, now that you brought it down to my level I can fully comprehend this issue.
I fully support shallow domes.
Just the Jewish co-conspirators.
And the Masons, it's always the Masons...
The Hagia Sophia now standing in Istanbul was built between 532 and 537 A.D. It’s pretty amazing that it was built in only five years. Mohammed was born in 570 and died in 632 A.D., just 100 years after Hagia Sophia was completed.
Old St. Peter’s, one of the first Christian basilicas in Rome, was begun about 323 A.D. It was rebuilt as the new St. Peter’s in the early 16th century and finished in the later 17th century.
I’d like to see more images of the new mosque in question, but so far I think it’s fine. There are already so many mosque imitators of Hagia Sophia that I appreciate a new version.

Couldn't be the architect's fault, or the collective tastes of the Mullahs. If you don't like the building, it must be the Jews
Shhhh... don’t tell them the architecture for all mosques are originally based on the Hagia Sophia in Turkey (formerly known as Constantinople). Even looks like the Al Aqua Mosque in Jerusalem without the gold dome.

Well, despite their preference of child brides, it seems that when it comes to mosques, the Iranians prefer fully developed extra-large bazonga melons. Oh, no. I’ve been marked for death for blasphemy now. But it’s the truth.
The El Aqsa mosque is the copper mosque to the side. The golden dome mosque is called the Dome of the Rock.
Tea Party, too.
