GOP lawmakers officially call on Justice Department to appoint second special counsel

Two chairmen of key House investigative committees officially asked the Justice Department on Tuesday to appoint a special counsel to look for “potential criminality” in the Carter Page surveillance case.

Republican Reps. Bob Goodlatte of Virginia and Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, respectively the chairmen of the judiciary and oversight committees, sent a note making the request to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his deputy, Rod Rosenstein.

This requires action by Sessions. If he does nothing, he should be escorted out the door. If Rosenstein refuses, he should be bypassed and his next in line given the command directly from President Trump.

Sally Kohn actually said that the public still trusts the FBI and there doesn’t need to be another Special Counsel as the IG can do the investigating. Sessions is directly responsible for the mueller/democrat witch hunt. He’s also a member of the senator’s club.

I thought Sally Kohn was actually Amy Walters - about the same difference - she actually said most people in the US really trust the FBI - I think they’re all scared of a special prosecutor who, as Hemmer said at the end, is likely to get into issues like Hillary’s emails for real this time.....

If the Special Prosecutor is given an order to investigate whatever specific crime that is, I’ll be fine with it. We don’t need to run a fishing expedition like Mueller.
