“The best thing for the planet is for you peasants to simply die.”
By `peasants’ they mean recalcitrant white people.

That they travel rather than telecommute as they lobby for $$$ says all you need to know.
The issue is never the issue:

There is no question...it’s fiction.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?All reasonable people know they can't; however, like the dutiful "speck" politicians they are, they will claim absolute credit for good things they did not do, and they will blame their political opponents for all the really bad things that they did themselves.
"Oh, but you are cynical!", they cry. I claim justifiable cynicism . . . things are usually a lot worse than I suggest.

When the Sun decides to cool down, the temps will go down. I've noticed that it starts doing that right around sunset.

The “environmentalism” and “climate change” AKA “global warming” movement is communism rebranded. Left unchecked it will result in massive genocide.
It has absolutely nothing to do with our environment.

All the planets of the solar system are locked into a cyclic pattern of cooling and warming that is controlled by the sun. The current warm period is already on the decline, and we’re entering a new period of cooling.
As early as 2020, the effects of this natural cooling cycle will be so pronounced, no one will question it. Not even the warmists.

Our food systems must deliver that need, fairly and equitably, without worsening the impacts of climate change
Must?
What does that mean...exactly...
Sounds like a sociopath to me..trying to tell other people what they _must_ do...

When most wealthy people think about their carbon footprint, or their contributions to climate changeMost wealthy people don't think about this stuff. At least, none that I have met.

not too long before the Progs advocate that we peasants just directly eat dirt to avoid all of those “carbon” inputs and outputs required for actual food production ... though of course members of the Politburo and their families and friends will be allowed to eat actual food ...

“Between 1980 and 2008, for instance, wheat yields dropped 5.5 % and maize yields fell 3.8% due to rising temperatures.”
and yet, RECORD yields in 2017. I guess “global warming” must have been temporarily “cured” in 2017, huh?
